Jimmy Carter had bad polices. However he served his Country in the Navy with honor. I don't doubt he cares about his country and it's people though. He also lives a modest life and does a lot of charity work.
So in the big picture it doesn't look like he sold his country out to get rich like the Bush, Clinton, Obama, and Biden families.
