WASHINGTON—House Committee on Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) issued the following statement on President Joe Biden’s state of the union address:
“No amount of spin from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue can change the fact that America is in decline after three years of Joe Biden’s presidency. Americans can see it with their own eyes. On day one in office, President Biden signaled to the world that our border was open. Now we have the worst border crisis in American history, making every state a border state. President Biden’s failed ‘Bidenomics’ has led to stubborn inflation that continues to eat into Americans’ paychecks as the prices of food, rent, and energy remain high. And President Biden’s policies, including his veto of our bill to protect police officers in D.C., have perpetuated the crime crisis in our nation. House Republicans will continue to fight against President Biden’s radical America Last agenda and will continue to fight for a prosperous, free, and safe country for all Americans.”
