Crazy how far their bball has fallen. I feel like Dixon lost passion for that job and let the program slip from borderline elite to mediocre, and then they made the worst possible panic hire of all time with Stallings when Dixon bailed. There is a good chance they don’t recover
Less than 8,000 in the Pete. Stop exaggerating. Surprisingly it was a close game. Carter really stepped up with a huge game.
You forgot to mention the incompetence of their Athletic Director(s).

They can easily drop to the mat like BC’s basketball did. Pitt basketball in the past 5 years compared to BC basketball in the mid 00s are kind of on the same trajectory. Not saying Pitt will never make an NCAA again or anything like that, but the total lack of buzz around the program is crazy and it’s not like they’re a traditional powerhouse with a huge following and money who can attract a big name coach. As great as it is as a rival fan to watch, we also have to look in the mirror and realize it can happen to us when Huggs time is done here.

Boston College can beat Duke every day of the week and twice on Sundays and they still will be the most irrelevant Power 5 team there is.
That was a "head-scratcher" Wannatedt was only HC at Pitt for 5 seasons. He had them going to Bowls and posting winning seasons. So they pushed him out. Strange logic.
Naw. They host Duke later this year. So, the Pete will be packed by Duke fans, too. But, your point is well taken. Pitt fans are almost non-existent now.
