The other day I put the post on about the young man being shot and tragically killed by a man using a .243 turkey hunting and mistaking a walking man as a turkey. Now today part two. People today after the flooding rains and Jennings Randolph Dam releasing 4 to 5 times the flow they do when the do releases for expert whitewater outfitters, 4 people decided to pile into a canoe and start off downstream. Needless to say they didn't make it very far and put many rescuers at risk attempting to save them. Mostly Class IV and V rapids. WTF could they be thinking??

WOMAN RESCUED FROM NORTH BRANCH
A woman was rescued from the North Branch of the Potomac River, near the Jennings Randolph Lake Dam late this morning. Four people were in a canoe, that tipped over at the Barnum campground around 11:30 a.m.; three of the four made it to shore, and the victim, who was reportedly wearing a safety vest and helmet, continued downriver. She was rescued around noon. There was no word on her condition. Responding were swift water rescue teams from Mineral, Allegany, and Garrett counties, along with the Trooper Five helicopter and the Maryland Natural Resources Police.
