Matthews Jr. Sidelined for Second Consecutive Game



MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (December 22, 2022) – West Virginia University men’s basketball fifth-year senior Emmitt Matthews Jr. will miss today’s game against Stony Brook with a left knee injury. His status remains day-to-day.



The native of Tacoma, Washington, started the first 10 games this season before missing Sunday’s game against Buffalo. He is averaging 10.8 points and 3.8 rebounds per game.
