WVSPORTS.COM Johnny Williams to the portal

Nothing wrong with testing the waters.

Most of WVU's transfers end up playing at schools a division lower anyway so that shows you how good they were in the first place. I've yet to see one WVU can't live without - CJ included.

Truer words never been said

And in my opinion, I rather have the players on my college team that has the relationship with the coaches rather than paid players out of the portal. That has been a key behind Saban at Alabama and Kirby at Georgia

Did you drink the tear in your beer after you wrote this. I can see it now. Williams is sitting there on a friday night saying: "I feel so lost. So betrayed. I can't take it anymore I love Neal so much." His mom comes in: "Johnny unlv called they will pay you 200k to play" Williams: "Neal who?"

almost...especially when NFL caliber talent exits...hate to break up this fantasy with some reality, but all of this hardedge propaganda isn't real....been through this before..

Propaganda huh? Well, pardon me while I believe the former WVU players who played under Rich over you, not too mention the WVU record under Rich. And basically my own eyes. I've not seen a WVU team as disciplined as his teams since he left. No one else has either, except RR haters of course.

I think what we are seeing isn't about "NIL money". It's about Rich Rod's team introduction when he talked about what it was going to be like compared to what it was like. If the reports are true, there is no shortage of NIL money. So these players leaving (Clement, Donaldson, Williams, Ray, etc.) would have gotten their money. I think it's more of "oh sh!t, you mean we have to practice now? We have to show up to lift? We are expected to show something before getting on the field"?????
