No decision this week. Special session now scheduled for December 14.
I wonder if this kicking the can down the road hurts their tv contract potential?
If anything it has to be a sign that all Kilavkoff’s big talk about a huge contract is fluff. If they had actual numbers they were happy with they would have made a deal already.
To me it says if they can’t find a way to force UCLA to stay then they finally have to admit the conference is on borrowed time.
The numbers projected with out UCLA, much less UCLA & USC must be pitiful.
Or even if they are getting good numbers from Amazon, they must know that would be a death sentence to their brand recognition. Most casual fans flip around channels to see what game is most appealing to watch. They aren’t going to jump on Amazon just to see if they like the P12 game of Cal vs Oregon State. Only hard core P12 fans are doing that.
So based on what comes out of the 12/14 meeting, if anything which continues to look bad for the P12, we might start seeing applications from P12 schools into the B12.
