MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Olympic Gold medalist and West Virginia University sophomore Ginny Thrasher will be honored in front of 60,000 fans at the WVU-Missouri Gold Rush game on Saturday, Sept. 3, at Milan Puskar Stadium.

Thrasher, along with WVU women’s soccer seniors and Bronze medalists Kadeisha Buchanan and Ashley Lawrence, will be recognized at halftime during the Pride of West Virginia Mountaineer Marching Band’s performance.

All three medalists enjoyed much success while competing at the 2016 Rio Summer Olympic Games, with Thrasher, a native of Springfield, Virginia, earning the first Gold medal awarded, and Buchanan and Lawrence helping Canada secure its second straight Bronze medal.

Shooting for Italy, former WVU NCAA Champion and All-American Nicco Campriani also stoop atop the podium, winning three Gold medals in shooting events and pushing his career Olympic medal count to five.

In all, WVU totaled six medals at the 2016 Summer Olympic Games.

That's a pitiful attempt to deflect from your idiocy.

Let's be honest though... what else is kitty supposed to say nowadays? Is he going to brag about having a losing conference record? Or maybe it's the 26-25 overall record?

Just like his beloved Ears, he's got nuthin'

Mounties played 'em tough, IMHO!

Coulda woulda shoulda .... I'm not making excuses, they beat us. We did have a couple key WR drops within their 5-10 yard line that killed drives that could have made a big difference.

But, they were better than us. They didn't make those mistakes and we did. It was far far from a blowout though.

Much better than what $200,000 Marshall has, that's for sure.

Too bad the money isn't getting you any wins though...

You sure about that?

Victories over 11th ranked Texas and 11th ranked TCU
Victory over 4th ranked Baylor
Cactus bowl victory over Arizona State
(and that's just since joining the Big 12, which is 3x the number of wins over ranked opponents that you've had in your entire history)

etc.

And of course, the perfect 12-0 record against the Herd

A few upset wins are forgotten quickly by everyone, except the fans of the team with a losing conference record and 26-25 overall (since joining the Big XII)

So let me clarify for you, dum-dum. The money isn't getting you enough wins.

Exactly who has MVU beat in the last 4 years? Look at this year's schedule. MVU plays two top 50 teams and 9 teams ranked lower than Missouri (9th best team on our schedule) Beating the sisters of the poor gains MVU nothing. 0-12

Does our record somehow take the sting away from how shitty your team has been doing?

And your wins against a bunch of nobodies isn't getting you enough money to stay on the FBS level. Got it dum-dum?

We're still on FBS level and no word of going anywhere. You guys can wish in one hand and shit in the other when it comes to that subject. It's not gong to happen just because you pray for it every night.

That is cute until you realize that G5 is the new FCS.

First you said it wasn't getting us "any" wins.
When that is thrown in your face with facts, you change the argument to "enough" wins.

If you would make an argument that wasn't so easy to dispute, you wouldn't have to keep changing your story. I offer than just as a little bit of advice.

And deep down, you know you'd kill for any one of those wins, and you can't stand that we have 3 of them in just a couple of years. Of course, you have to play the teams to have a chance at the win, which your admin is too chicken shit to do. They don't want fans like you to realize just how awful you guys really are.

Are you sure about that Bambi? I don't know when WVU beat an 11th ranked TCU team, so be sure to identify the season during which this allegedly happened. Nothing like posting lies when you have nothing else!

You're right, it wasn't TCU, it was Oklahoma State who was ranked #11 that year.

Doesn't change anything, two wins over #11's, and a win over #4

My "guys" only won the very first playoff era National Championship, but please beat your chest about beating an overrated Baylor team flagged 18 times for an unbelievable 215 yards during the regular season.

Not really, Bambi. Final A.P. Polls:

Texas - #19
Oklahoma State - #17
Baylor - #7

Those weren't the rankings at the time we played them. When we played them they were 11, 11 and 4. I think Texas was 10 in one poll even.

Anyway, you want to argue over minutae, which have nothing to do with my point.

I don't blame you though, when you've got nothing else, split hairs over items that are inconsequential to the point being made.

You aren't fooling anybody.
I find it amusing that you and your band of delusional ilk continue to get upset when a fan of another program (aka, non Herd) schools you, and your only rebuttal is to label them as a Herd fan who's masquerading as a fan of another school. WVU is well lodged in the lower half of the P5, so there's countless fans that can make fun of you, and laugh at you. The OSU fan is only one of literally tens of millions of fans that can do this.
