Not quite, Tony, as the Jolly Rogers have a 4 1/2 game lead. If it weren't for the horrendous 3-18 start, the Reds would still be in wildcard contention.
Hell, I haven't given up the ship...can't be too many out of the wild card spot now , maybe 10 games, let's get on a roll!
I haven't, either, but the Reds are likely to trade Matt Harvery very soon, and might follow that up with trades of Iglesias, Scooter, and/or an outfielder, as well. When Harvey goes, Homer is likely to return to the rotation, and that will be very bad for us.
Agree, Homer's arm is gone. I think they'll keep Scooter but not sure what we'll do with Stenzel. Our offense is rolling as of the last 8 weeks but starting pitching and bullpen once you get past Iglesias is suspect. But not many teams out there that aren't a bit flawed!
