IRVING, Texas –
Career performances from Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas and West Virginia earned five Big 12 football student-athletes honors for Week 8.

Oklahoma’s Rhamondre Stevenson and Oklahoma State’s Tylan Wallace shared Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week accolades. A pair of Longhorns picked up honors as Joseph Ossai was named Defensive Player of the Week and D’Shawn Jamison Special Teams Player of the Week. West Virginia graduate transfer Tony Fields II collected Newcomer of the Week recognition.

Stevenson rushed 13 times for a game-high 87 yards (6.7 average) and a career-best three touchdowns in the Sooners’ road victory at Texas Tech. His first carry of the season resulted in a 6-yard touchdown and he added 1-yard scoring runs in the first and second quarters to help the Sooners maintain a 48-14 halftime lead.

Wallace finished with a career-high 11 catches on 11 targets for 187 yards and two touchdowns. It marked the most receiving yards and most catches of any Big 12 player in a game this season. It was the fifth game with double-digit catches of Wallace's career, while it was his 13th career game of 100 or more receiving yards.

After logging 12 tackles, six tackles for loss, three sacks, a forced fumble and a recovered one, Ossai helped guide the Longhorns to a comeback victory over No. 6 Oklahoma State. He was the first autonomy conference player to record at least 12 tackles, six tackles for loss and three sacks in a game since 2006 and it marked only the sixth time any FBS player has hit all three of those totals in the same game since 2000. Ossai was also named the Walter Camp National Defensive Player of the Week.

Jamison registered a career-long 100-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in UT’s comeback win over Oklahoma State. It was his third career kick return for a touchdown (2 kickoff/1 punt), which is tied for the second-most in school history. His special teams score came in the third quarter, sparking a UT momentum swing after being down 11.

Fields tallied a game-high 15 tackles including five solo and 10 assisted. The senior also had a pass breakup and is one of just five Mountaineers to collect 15 tackles or more in a game since 2009. Fields was part of a Mountaineer defense that held K-State to its lowest rushing total since 2014 (41 yards).

This is the second honor for Wallace this season, while the other four recipients are first-time honorees.
