Just when it seemed like the Mountaineers might have lost one recent game too many to feel secure in their tourney chances, Tuesday's narrow victory at Utah gave them a huge bump in the odds. After the W, the ESPN Analytics model elevates WVU's probability to 81%. WVU is now a "Should Be In" team. It's worth noting other models are somewhat less optimistic, and the Mountaineers went into the day ranked ninth in the NET. However, WVU has also faced a very difficult schedule, and it still ranks around 40th in SOR and WAB, with six wins vs. top-50 opponents and 11 against the top 100.
