actually work as a little bit of an advantage for WVU when recruiting against fellow Big 12 schools?
Before, Big 12 schools - especially the Texas schools - were recruiting a high percentage of high school kids which gave them a huge advantage over WVU since most of the guys they were recruiting were from the state of Texas............i.e., in their own backyard.
I would think now with everyone getting their guys from the portal that, to a small extent, that negates some of the recruiting advantage of the Texas schools and of Okie Lite. It appears to me NOW that kids are willing to go anywhere for their last year or two in college in order to get more exposure and playing time. That's the premise to my comments here. I would think to a large extent that puts WVU on a more level recruiting playing field with most of the Big 12.......
Thoughts, anyone?
