IRVING, Texas –
A pair of standouts from TCU, along with players from Iowa State, Kansas State and West Virginia collected Big 12 honors for their performances in Week 4.

Cyclone running back Breece Hall was named Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week. TCU’s La’Kendrick Van Zandt and West Virginia’s Darius Stills shared Defensive Player of the Week recognition. TCU place kicker Griffin Kell was tabbed Special Teams Player of the Week, while K-State freshman running back Deuce Vaughn picked up Newcomer of the Week.

Instrumental in Iowa State's 37-30 win over No. 18 Oklahoma, Hall rushed for 139 yards and two touchdowns. The sophomore has rushed for over 100 yards in all three games, becoming the first Cyclone to go over the 100-yard rushing plateau in the first three games since 2001. He churned out 100 yards after intermission, including a 36-yard run late in the game to set up an eight-yard TD run.

Van Zandt led TCU with a career-high seven tackles, an interception and one tackle for loss in the Horned Frogs’ upset road win at Texas. He recorded a game-saving tackle as Texas was driving the field in the waning moments, as he caught a player from behind before heading to the end zone

Stills registered a game-high 2.5 sacks and a career-high 3.5 tackles for loss finishing with four tackles in the double-overtime win over Baylor. Over the past two years, he has collected 14 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks against the Bears.

TCU’s Kell recorded field goals of 27, 28, 32 and 49 yards in the win at No. 9 Texas. His four field goal makes are the most for a Horned Frog since 2019.

Vaughn became the first K-State true freshman since 2008 to rush over 100 yards in a game with 113 against Texas Tech. He recorded a rushing TD of 18 yards and a 70-yard TD catch with 2:07 remaining in the fourth quarter to secure the win. His 194 scrimmage yards were the most by a Wildcat freshman in the Big 12 era.

Vaughn collected Newcomer of the Week for a second-consecutive week. The remaining honorees are first-time recipients for their respective awards.
