Current Big XII favorites according to ESPN

This idea that Maryland is a horrible team is laughable.
They are at worse a 6-6 bowl team.
Horrible teams don't dominate opponents with 300 rushing yards and give up less than 50 in 2 games. The Bowling Green and Minnesota games.

More than that Maryland is the only I have seen since TCU last year that matches Texas physically.
Thing is in 2018 Texas dominated TCU physically and TCU is a very physical team.

So Texas is the master of the universe but it’s ok if they get beat by a 6-6 team? A team that got blown out by Temple? Just trying to figure this all out.

Two CFP teams last year lost to an average team.
If you include teams that played in a NYD bowl it would be well over 75% of the supposed elite in CFB

A common occurrence especially early in the year.

Right because Texas has been an annual playoff team. Texas is a blue blood but let’s pump the breaks on them being “back”. Long way to go.

No one is claiming Texas is a CFP team.
What they are is a NYD6 team. They either win the Big XII or lose to OU and still go to the Sugar Bowl.

It is not that difficult to see.
Elite D
Development at the QB position
Development on the OL
Skill players making plays

Ultimately with Texas it comes down to their blueprint.

Iowa St came close to winning the Big XII last year with this blueprint but they lacked the talent.

What is the kryptonite of AirRaid teams?

Physical DL
Playing teams that keep their offense off the field

OU, Oklahoma St, Tech and WV are built to outscore each other

Problem with that is your offense doesn't show up against certain teams.....

A lot of absolutes in there. I’d prefer to let the season play out first to see where everyone falls. That’s just me though.
