Come on home Rich! It’s time!

This would be nice! He has a lot to prove as a coach still for a HC job this big, but bringing him in as an assistant would be totally awesome!
Probably would have to entice him with a more lucrative positions to get him to leave his XFL job as head coach. So perhaps Offensive Coordinator with the caveat of potential replacement for when Rich Rod retires?

He isn't worth it. Let HC hire his staff

It seems to be trending back to Rich Rod being the guy. Spot the ball!
If it is not announced tomorrow, then we all need to start worrying. Because it appears that Koltenicki tweeted out a message suggesting that he's remaining with PSU. This would mean that Rich Rod should be the only other true candidate left (I know they said Munken and Becht, but if it is either for head coach then we are in trouble).

One thing is for damn sure, Wren Baker's office has kept this a type lipped secret better than anyone else in the nation.

Pac-Man is saying he was right!!! Not sure if that means Rich is the guy or it truly was lobster coming from Alabama

As Baker stated in his press conference, he wants to run an efficient search but knows he can't rush it. I personally expect to hear Tuesday or Wednesday.

At this point if it's not Rich who is it? If Wren hires the army coach he may as well pack his bags. No one wants this dude at all and for good reason.

Time for the second act!! I'm excited about it. He's going to shut alot of ppl up. Mostly the same climb truster clan are the ones who hate RR the most. The Hoppy clan. I guess we will just have to drag you mofos across the finish line. It is what it is. The climb is about to begin if Rich gets to town....

3 gals before the game are probably cuddled up in the corner of the studio right now. They hate the manly men types. They are a big reason Brown was here so long and we almost kept him again thanks to them. They are no doubt trying to keep RR away....

If Rod is hired and doesn't win at least 8 games first year the board will explode.

Robert Morris, Ohio, Pitt.......non-conference games. I will say that he will win 5-7 conference games next year (lot of variables, mainly transfer portal). If Rich Rod were to win 8+ games next year, and one of those being Pitt, that'll be fine by me.

Heard that Rich Rod was the only candidate to receive a second in-person interview, and speculation was that took place yesterday. So if he was the only one to get a 2nd interview, why are we still waiting to hear a decision? Is it over $$$? Commitment to the program???? Timing/expectation of taking over??? Number of pizza rolls?????

Not me. Just as I did Neal Brown, i would give him a year or two to get his kind of players and the ship heading in his direction. I think it's possible for him to win big his first year but I don't expect it. I think most coaches should get 3 or 4 years tops to get it going. I don't think it will take Rich thst long though. I think by year 3 we will be kicking ass and taking names. I hope year 1 tho.

I will be in Vegas late summer next year. If I get decent odds on below 7 wins next year, I will put at least $1000 on it.

That's a bold bet but I wouldn't be shocked if you won it. Rich Rod is not an air raid guy and an entirely new system and pace is about to begin installed. He's a hard nose coach not a softy like Brown. There will be a big adjustment.

I won't. Claims have been made he's best coach out there and now there is transfer portal and NIL makes it that much easier to get players plus majority of the best players are so far staying as are the recruits. Win 8 or you fail.

First year Big 12 coaches
Joey McGuire 8-5
Sonny Dykes 10-2 (National Championship game)
Kalani Sitake 9-4
Chris Klieman 8-5

Maybe. I won’t be one of them. I won’t waste one ounce of emotion on WVU football if he returns. I’ll watch on tv, but no longer the emotional or financial investment, until he leaves.

What if he is crazy successful on a yearly basis?

I just can’t support him. I’ll support the players, not him. I would say the thought of his return just has me in a state of feeling disenfranchised. Not that the program will miss my passion lol and my financial contributions are a blip compared to who is prepared to spend money for him. It is what it is.

I most certainly understand. I'm in a similar mindset but not as strong. I will still contribute in the same manner and be optimistic before every game during his time back at WVU if it happens and I won't bad mouth him. I may criticize individual moments as I do with any coach. Basically, I will treat him as I did with Catlett for over 20 years and Holgs which I did not like at all.

I’m not gonna lie, I was crushed when he did what he did. Maybe we never will know the true story and when his name popped up I truly can say I was against it. That being said I just can’t forget the passion he had for this state and how exciting it was to watch his teams play. I want that again. It may not happen again but I’m willing to swallow my pride and sit back and watch it play out. I think he can do it again. We will see. Hell he hasn’t even been named coach yet so I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Now put yourself in his position. He changed jobs for arguably a better job.

If he wasn't a good coach people wouldn't still be bitter about how he left. It sucked. We lost to pitt in a game where nothing went right, not even eat FGs from a legendary kicker. It was heartbreaking and then Rich slipped out the back door. I get it but there are many things that factored in him deciding to leave and he really did do what almost everyone would do by taking a blueblood job.

If he comes back he will have a chip on his shoulder. He will want to make things right ir he would not even want to, knowing how a lot of fans still hate him. He's a good coach and he will win. If not, then find a better coach and have closure for good. But it's likely he will win a lot here.
