The more names that come off the board the better the odds for Rod.
Plane from Alabama landing in Morgantown at 7:30!! Good sign!!The more names that come off the board the better the odds for Rod.
Yes he did.Kotelnickie allegedly withdrew his name.

WVU did not want to wait until January 15th 2025. Just in case they made title game. So he withdrew his name.Kotelnickie allegedly withdrew his name.
Could be new hardwood gym floor for Greenbrier East High School too.Lobster delivery.
This would be nice! He has a lot to prove as a coach still for a HC job this big, but bringing him in as an assistant would be totally awesome!Offering him TE position to bring his boy to WVU.
Guess some of my info was correct. Baker's pick was Kotelnicki.WVU did not want to wait until January 15th 2025. Just in case they made title game. So he withdrew his name.
Probably would have to entice him with a more lucrative positions to get him to leave his XFL job as head coach. So perhaps Offensive Coordinator with the caveat of potential replacement for when Rich Rod retires? This would be nice! He has a lot to prove as a coach still for a HC job this big, but bringing him in as an assistant would be totally awesome!
He isn't worth it. Let HC hire his staffProbably would have to entice him with a more lucrative positions to get him to leave his XFL job as head coach. So perhaps Offensive Coordinator with the caveat of potential replacement for when Rich Rod retires?
Be nice if saban and RR were delivering the lobster!!Lobster delivery.
If it is not announced tomorrow, then we all need to start worrying. Because it appears that Koltenicki tweeted out a message suggesting that he's remaining with PSU. This would mean that Rich Rod should be the only other true candidate left (I know they said Munken and Becht, but if it is either for head coach then we are in trouble). It seems to be trending back to Rich Rod being the guy. Spot the ball!
Strip clubs do have the better wings?Pac-Man is saying he was right!!! Not sure if that means Rich is the guy or it truly was lobster coming from Alabama
Very few ever have. That is a fact which I stated many posts agoSecond acts do not work. Ask Louisville about Bobby Petrino and Pitt fans about Johnny Majors.
Well Brown didn’t work so let’s try the second act.. if we are wrong so be it. We need a spark bad!!!Very few ever have. That is a fact which I stated many posts ago
Unc would tell you the same with Mack BrownSecond acts do not work. Ask Louisville about Bobby Petrino and Pitt fans about Johnny Majors.
Robert Morris, Ohio, Pitt.......non-conference games. I will say that he will win 5-7 conference games next year (lot of variables, mainly transfer portal). If Rich Rod were to win 8+ games next year, and one of those being Pitt, that'll be fine by me.If Rod is hired and doesn't win at least 8 games first year the board will explode.
Waiting to announce during bball game tonight? Maybe?Heard that Rich Rod was the only candidate to receive a second in-person interview, and speculation was that took place yesterday. So if he was the only one to get a 2nd interview, why are we still waiting to hear a decision? Is it over $$$? Commitment to the program???? Timing/expectation of taking over??? Number of pizza rolls?????
If Rod is hired and doesn't win at least 8 games first year the board will explode.
Are you thinking Browns coming back?I will be in Vegas late summer next year. If I get decent odds on below 7 wins next year, I will put at least $1000 on it.
That usually is what happens. But I think it would be too rushed for today's game.Waiting to announce during bball game tonight? Maybe?
I won't. Claims have been made he's best coach out there and now there is transfer portal and NIL makes it that much easier to get players plus majority of the best players are so far staying as are the recruits. Win 8 or you fail. Not me. Just as I did Neal Brown, i would give him a year or two to get his kind of players and the ship heading in his direction. I think it's possible for him to win big his first year but I don't expect it. I think most coaches should get 3 or 4 years tops to get it going. I don't think it will take Rich thst long though. I think by year 3 we will be kicking ass and taking names. I hope year 1 tho.
Maybe. I won’t be one of them. I won’t waste one ounce of emotion on WVU football if he returns. I’ll watch on tv, but no longer the emotional or financial investment, until he leaves. If Rod is hired and doesn't win at least 8 games first year the board will explode.
What if he is crazy successful on a yearly basis?Maybe. I won’t be one of them. I won’t waste one ounce of emotion on WVU football if he returns. I’ll watch on tv, but no longer the emotional or financial investment, until he leaves.
I just can’t support him. I’ll support the players, not him. I would say the thought of his return just has me in a state of feeling disenfranchised. Not that the program will miss my passion lol and my financial contributions are a blip compared to who is prepared to spend money for him. It is what it is.What if he is crazy successful on a yearly basis?
I most certainly understand. I'm in a similar mindset but not as strong. I will still contribute in the same manner and be optimistic before every game during his time back at WVU if it happens and I won't bad mouth him. I may criticize individual moments as I do with any coach. Basically, I will treat him as I did with Catlett for over 20 years and Holgs which I did not like at all.I just can’t support him. I’ll support the players, not him. I would say the thought of his return just has me in a state of feeling disenfranchised. Not that the program will miss my passion lol and my financial contributions are a blip compared to who is prepared to spend money for him. It is what it is.
I’m not gonna lie, I was crushed when he did what he did. Maybe we never will know the true story and when his name popped up I truly can say I was against it. That being said I just can’t forget the passion he had for this state and how exciting it was to watch his teams play. I want that again. It may not happen again but I’m willing to swallow my pride and sit back and watch it play out. I think he can do it again. We will see. Hell he hasn’t even been named coach yet so I guess we will just have to wait and see.I just can’t support him. I’ll support the players, not him. I would say the thought of his return just has me in a state of feeling disenfranchised. Not that the program will miss my passion lol and my financial contributions are a blip compared to who is prepared to spend money for him. It is what it is.
Now put yourself in his position. He changed jobs for arguably a better job.I just can’t support him. I’ll support the players, not him. That by itself is not a problem, at all.Now put yourself in his position. He changed jobs for arguably a better job.
