9 carries total yesterday. 1 in the second half. He is criminally underutilized. By all means, chuck the ball all over the yard with a quarterback that has a history of accuracy issues and expect a different result.

Being down in the second half as much as we were, using the big back with little ability to catch the ball isn't a recipe for cutting into the lead for any coach.

Defense lost this game.

The game got away from us when we stopped running the ball. And not sure what you’re talking about, Donaldson was a tight end. He can be a weapon in the passing game.

We were down 7 points dude. Seriously. ONE SCORE and we threw the ball like we had Marc Bulger back there. The defense in the 2nd half was the only reason we were able to stay within one score.

It was a 1 TD game for most of the second half. Defense was getting stops but offense couldn’t get going. I agree. Run the ball!!
we did run the ball. Maybe way too many times. Look at the last drive. Nice drive using mostly Pass as a change up to mostly Run.. Number of the INC's were hurried. But with the mix we moved the ball instead of just relying on the run.
Pass to Kole 8 yds
P to Farmer 16 yds
P INC Robinson, break up
Run Green 20 yds
P INC hurried
P Fox 4 yds
P Gallagher 8 yds
P INC Kole
P INC Donaldson hurried
P INC Robinson
P Robinson 15 yds
Sacked loss of 7
P INC Kole in end zone
P Kole 11 yds TD....
Short routs even though GG was only 6-12 proved to be a winning combination. 1 break up 2 hurries and 1 sack on that drive with only 1 run.

CJ was a TE in HS. Big difference. I was a stud halfback in pee-wee. Big deal. Doesn't translate. And I know we were down 1 score in the third period. I'm not making an excuse for the decision of not running the ball but we have two backs and there were running plays. The offense wasn't clicking and our defense lost the game.

You do understand that the last drive we weren't facing a "defense" because they were up by multiple scores and just wanted us to not score quickly.

When you have a guy averaging damn near 7 yards per carry, you feed him until they can prove they can stop him. That didn’t happen. We decided to put the game on Greene’s arm with predictable results
Greene was leading rusher. Our offense gets out of sync because it's always all about Greene and not team.

I’m ok with Greene running as well, but the recipe to win is not 39 pass attempts. My goal would be less than 20 attempts but realizing maybe 25 might be necessary.
In fact, Brown has stated a few times that WVU offense is in trouble if Greene has to throw it more than 25 times. Then maybe he should fire the play caller for calling so many pass plays? :joy:

Whether we run or pass we're just not good enough to win and that falls on the head coach. This team is a reflection of him and he is not a leader and not a winner. This team has a ton of talent and they are getting the shaft with a terrible coaching staff.

He won elsewhere. Just not here. This is a whole different level and he has failed. This team doesn't have as much talent as you think it does.

What he did at Troy is completely irrelevant after 6 years of sucking at wvu. This is the most talented team he has had since he's been here and more talented than they look. These guys don't develop players.

You claimed he was not a leader nor a winner. Irrelevant or not he won and lead at another Troy. You can claim he sucks here but you can not claim everywhere. It's in the way you post that it reads as such. Wonder where that talent is? Sure isn't on the defense. Talented RB and a talented QB on the bench. If he wanted to pass 35 times he should have brought in a passing QB. Poor coaching or not talent would win some of those games a lot of the time.

Well, to clarify, when I say those things I specifically mean at WVU. There is no evidence to suggest he is a winner or a good leader since he's been here.

There is evidence he's nothing more than a .500 coach here and that's not success.

He's just average or slightly below. I wish it would have worked out for him here. Honestly when we hired him I was pretty excited. But it just didn't work out. I think he can find success on a smaller level of football. And I hope he does
