A few that are of interest to WVU fans....

Dana Holgerson (Houston) F The record coupled with the midseason redshirt controversy of quarterback D'Eriq Kings makes this first year a total failure.

Jake Spavital (Texas State) D- The Bobcats didn't show any signs of improvement despite returning virtually every starter from a year ago.

Matt Wells (Texas Tech) D+ Wells came to town with a proven track record but posted a worse record than Kliff Kingsbury did last year. That won't cut it.

Neal Brown (WVU) C- Brown didn't have a lot to work with, but the program took a pretty significant step back. This team should be able to stumble its way to a bowl.

Les Miles (Kansas) C Three wins at Kansas including a dismantling of Boston College is nice. But Miles hasn't proven that he can dig the Jayhawks out of the hole they were in.

Chris Klieman (Kansas State) A- It's hard to replace a legend, but Klieman picked up right where Bill Snyder left off.

Seems about right. What I’ve been thinking since a couple of the blowouts. C- is about right. Last I saw that was below average. Unlike Huggy Brown doesn’t seem to recruiting the players that can change much on the field.

WVU was picked 9th in the Big 12 preseason media poll and they finished tied for 7th. I suspect the CBS writer didn't know that. If there is someone that covers the Big 12 giving grades to new coaches, they'll give Brown a grade better than C-.

So the coach we smoked on the road, with his seniors and captains at qb, rb, wr,.te, with a completely depleted illiterate holgorsen leftover roster is an A, the coach with a ton of holes and key backups and lack of experience that rolled into town and handed out a spanking, failed. What this reporter said about a depleted roster and stumbling to a bowl game is insulting to the conference. It isnt the big 10, where a grade school flag football team could win 8 games

I'd give Coach Brown a B+ (mainly due to the horrendous Texas Tech game and bewildering demolishing to Mizzou) but to say KSU was smoked is a total misrepresentation of the game.

The writer is only reporting on what was televised. IMO Brown is above a C grade. Implemented his program while weeding out the dead weight, demonstrated improvement and built a solid plan for the future. Only time will tell how successful his program will be.

So Holgorsen left cupboard bare with nearly ALL the playmakers graduated; WVU only predicted to win 2 of 12 games, and WVU replacing its ENTIRE coaching staff (save a few) along with crucial player portal defectors because of that complete staffing change, and Neal Brown gets a C minus??? Really? He wins 3 more games than predicted (1 against ranked team ( who’s coach got an “A” in this evaluation), is 4 points shy of upsetting a top 10 team, over a dozen freshman/sophomores without experience forced to play... including a walk-on!... AND in over 5 games up until the final quarter. That’s BS!!!!! Would like to see ANY new coach dealt Neal Browns hand do any better! He deserves B at the very least. PERIOD
