Great hire in Harrell but Harrell, expectedly, hasn’t set the run game on fire as an offensive coordinator. He needs help there and finally Brown has relinquished all, or almost all, control on play calling or so it seems.

Enter Chad Scott as run game coordinator. From my understanding he will have some say, in game, as to which plays to run and personnel packaging.

Win, win, win across the board. Pressure of developing game plan and play calling is off of Brown. Aid Harrell in developing run game portion of game plan which is honestly needed. You empower a great recruiter in Scott (who I have heard multiple times hasn’t been happy in Morgantown). And most importantly get all that off of Brown’s plate.

Lucky to get a guy like Harrell who Brown trusts and is familiar with. If we don’t get Harrell, we very well may have been in the same boat as last year. I just don’t see Brown handing the over the keys to just anyone.

Big day for the progression of Brown as a head guy of a Power 5 program.
