Apparently he is a clothing designer that made disparaging remarks about Melania Trump and said that he would never "dress her." I assume he means he will never design some of her clothing.

Just today, Steve Wynn, casino magnate in Vegas removed all of his Tom Ford inventory from his casinos. The only free standing Tom Ford boutique in Vegas is located in a mall, partially owned by a Trump cabinet member, Wilbur Ross. Hmmmm. No word yet on what, if anything, Ross does.

Not a smart move.

I am no fan of Trump but I would not turn down time with any of wives

To me, it is just such a dumb business decision. Why turn off half of America with such petty vindictiveness. It turns out she doesn't wear his line anyway, so he didn't even need to open his mouth. Now, he will lose business. Very petty and stupid, Imo.

You mean kind of like a guy who will be president telling Americans to "buy LL Bean".....or slamming a TV show like SNL......get my point? Trump is just as guilty at this as anyone else......yet you think it's a bad idea for this Ford guy?

Trump is President. He doesn't need to grow his business, answer to shareholders, etc. Trump makes stupid comments for sure and I wish he would use Twitter for only policy and political comments. But Ford is in a much more precarious position and ticking off half of your potential customers is just stupid.

Anecdotally, my wife, who does like Tom Ford designs and spends a LOT of money, won't buy his designs any longer. Again, just stupid.

You mean why stand on principle? The man chose his belief system over money, agree with him or not the world needs more of that kind of thinking.

I fully agree with your sentiment but I also agree that one should not integrate politics into business without being willing to suffer the fallout. That goes with this type of comment by this designer or the Chickila flaps or the LLBean or whatever. I've seen first hand how devastating combining politics with business with both the employees and customers and it is just horrible. Nothing good about it.

It was petty, small, snarky and not only rude but offensive. I really can't believe a liberal would support such behavior. She has done nothing to him. She has said nothing to provoke his anger.

He may well hate her husband, but why denigrate his wife?

I didn't know he denigrated her, I thought he just refused to make her a dress?

That troll has a lot of nerve to write such a post with all the nastiness thrown every Dem first Lady idiots like him typically say on a daily basis. But then again coming from that troll, nothing is too surprising.

He did in the way he refused. This is such a non story, it's not like the middle class were buying Tom Ford gear at Wal Mart and Target. Just a couple of uber rich dudes stoking their egos.

If you say that you won't "dress someone" that means you don't want them wearing your designs. That, to me, is denigration. And stupid.

I bet if a Christian designer refused to dress a homosexual couple for their wedding, you would applaud the action with great passion.

You have to admit it is emblematic of lib reaction to the election. Libs threatening boycotts of companies who's board members supported Trump. Unprecedented boycotts of the inauguration. Libs are still stunned and don't know how to react. So they lash out.

Tom Ford is but one example of many demonstrating this stupidity. Loses business for what purpose? Does he think he will gain by hurting her feelings?

As we have seen, they would be fined, big time. And your example has zero equivalence.

Again, you say you are open minded, tolerant, empathetic, understanding, "liberal in the class term" and yet this apparently doesn't bother you. Interesting.

I doubt he loses business. He'll probably be the designer of Hollywood now. Or he won't. I literally could not care less. There's no reason for you to be so wound up over this.

He won't lose business on the coasts. But in middle America, I'm not so sure. He is already losing business in Vegas and I doubt that he picks up business on the coasts because of this. I don't think most liberals on the coasts even know about it. But conservatives hear about it on TV, the radio and blogs.

Is it "interesting" to you Paxx? Well for a non judgemental, tolerant, well-informed perfection of a citizen like you to question my motivation for making a post it certainly will keep me up tonight trying to rediscover my core belief systems, and seeking to buoy my intellect in this storm of hypocrisy.

It's just another piece of ammo for him. He scours the news daily in search of what seem to be examples of actions that reinforce his personal narrative of conservative greatness and liberal hypocrisy and conspiracy. Oh the twitchy little f$&@er he would have become if Clinton had won.

I am no fan of Trump but I would not turn down time with any of wives

Say what you want about him being a P*ssy grabbing misogynist, but that Dude does have an eye for hot chicks!

Some of the honeys he used to hang out with before Melania make me wonder why he "settled" for her?

I guess once they locked loins her stuff was rockin' his libido a little more hype than some of those others, but one does wonder because a few of those Foreign Babes he used to have draped all over him were smokin' hot!

I mean just damn! Work it Trump.

Are you going to stop watching movies and TV too? You know Hollywood hates Trump. You should tell her. You should probably never leave your house again either because 60% of America say's he's a POS.

You are the one constantly proclaiming your liberal values. Not me. Frankly I think conservatives are far more tolerant and understanding than liberals.

Its helped Chik fil a

Ok. Well you are tolerant of gays, but not of liberals. Airport hates everything liberal (including art degrees), I don't know how he feels about gays. And atl likes to say he doesn't hate gays so I give him that, but he is not tolerant of their "deviant" "choices" and behavior.....and he hates everything liberal too. So...where's the tolerance of different ways of thinking exactly Paxx?

You're some type of special hypocrite to point to liberals hating conservatives as intolerant, and then peddle hatred of conservatives day in and day out. At least I have said a balance is best

Here is the difference boom. Don't proclaim yourliberalism/tolerance/understanding/empathy if you're not willing to give that to everyone. It is hypocritical to claim those traits for minorities but not for everyone else.

Liberals tend to believe they have a monopoly on virtue, and that is clearly not the case.

And you get that from me?

Beat liberals up for the extremists that do not do the political approach justice. But you gotten to a place where you're trashing people that want to do good things for America as unAmerican. If left and right work together, the nation is better. Trump might be a business genius, but politically his history is flip flopping on issues, saying loud things without caring about the effect, self aggrandizing, and smug. He scares people, and rightly so....even you praise his unpredictability.

Frankly, yes. If this had been Michele Obama, I think your opinion would be much different.
IF there was no reason for refusing other than her race....yes. Political views? No. There is a country club refusing (or trying to refuse) Obama membership. I don't mind that....haven't heard me rail about it have you? I think businesses have the right to refuse service. If it's due to racism, sexism, or homophobia, I see it as a problem with mindset that should be addressed. I love the Masters, but hate the sexism of Augusta national.

you missed the point. Not surprising.

I did not miss the point. You obviously missed mine. Standing up for what the CEO of Chik fil a believed in did not hurt them. You do need to be careful. North Carolina was hurt.

You do realize they have at least two female members now, don't you? You may view that as a token but what specific sexism are you talking about in 2017?

The point is not whether or not the businesses were hurt. This guy may not be hurt either. Doesn't matter as it wasn't the point and yes, you have now missed it twice. Want to go for three? I know you can miss it again.

I like Chic fil a. And although I hate that they shut down on Sunday....I respect it very much.

But boom here is what you don't see in yourself. If he had refused Michelle, you would have assumed it was because of race.

I knew about one CEO. I just used it as an example, because of using the cc that's trying to deny Obama.
