Appropriate since 1600 is Trump's new street address.
Not for long. According to Congressional leaders this is all a formality until impeachment.lol

"If the public knew what Congress knows’ they would boycott the inauguration too."

If the public were stealing money like most of the people in congress, we could afford to not go to work.

President Barack Obama has awarded 123 Medals...

When addressing the nation in his last Medal of Freedom ceremony, President Obama said:

“Everyone on this stage has touched me in a powerful personal way. These are folks who have helped make me who I am and think about my presidency.”

but of course he's changed the rules to suit his own self...

Check it out:
  • Ellen DeGeneres: Donated $35,800 in 2012 to the Obama Victory Fund and $100,000 in 2016 to the Hillary Victory Fund.
  • Robert De Niro: Donated $10,000 to the Obama Victory Fund and $2,500 to Obama’s general election campaign in 2012.
  • Tom Hanks: Donated $2,300 to Obama's election campaign in 2008, $2,500 in 2012, and $2,700 to Hillary's primary campaign in 2016.
  • Michael Jordan: Threw a $3 million fundraiser, for $20,000 per person during Obama's 2012 campaign.
  • Lorne Michaels: Donated $4,600 to the Obama Victory Fund in 2008.
  • Bruce Springsteen: Donated $13,200 to Democratic committees such as Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D., Nev.) and Russ Feingold (D., Wis.)
  • Robert Redford: Endorsed Obama in 2012 and fundraised for Feingold (D., Wis.) in 2016.
  • Bill Gates: Donated $17,900 to the Obama Victory Fund in 2012 and $50,000 to Obama's inauguration in 2009 along with Melinda Gates.
  • Melinda Gates: Donated $35,800 to the joint fundraising committee and $5,000 to Obama’s 2012 primary and general election campaigns.
  • Frank Gehry: Donated $4,600 to Obama's campaign in 2008, $80,000 to the Obama Victory Fund in 2012, and $60,000 to the Hillary Victory Fund.
  • Newt Minow: Donated $7,500 to committees supporting Obama in the early 2000s.
Is that just par for the course, when it comes to presidents' choices?
Not so much.

Awesome post!

I think I just have an extra strong aversion to fawning over celebrities but pictures like that make me cringe. We have an election to see who gets to lead the country and then the person spends a portion of their time kissing celebrities/ asses. It's kinda creepy. Not that Obama is the only POTUS to do it of course.

And oftentimes the celebrities express political views on how everybody should be treated equaly and imply people on the other side don't treat people equally and then the celebrity leverages their fame to get into the White House and whatever comes with all that. And I'm watching this and thinking, wait a minute, isn't this whole scene in complete contradiction of your bit about how everybody should be treated equally?

Why do you come on here and lie so much? Nothing has changed since Trump said 1,100 jobs were save. The amount of layoffs hasn’t changed. The number of those retained hasn’t changed. It’s 1,100 factory and administrative jobs. The only question is did you get your information from this questionable source:

https://www.rawstory.com/2017/01/mo...-save-their-jobs-heres-what-they-have-to-say/

Or this source which wholly plagiarized the original, if fake, story:

http://proudemocrat.com/1600-factory-workers-fired-after-trump-said-hed-save-their-jobs/

You fell for a near equivalent of The Onion.

Sad and scary that this noun is associated with him. There are a lot of 'low information' folks--wish they would refrain from also being 'voters'.

Bud I can't believe you still love Obama so much after Obamacare took your job.

Still crying about Obama. Does snowflake need a safe space?

I can't stand celebrities.
When it comes to being treated equally, I wonder how many of their assistants would say they walk the walk.
