Wake up, you rubes!!!!

It's Gameday!!!!

Finally.

Here we go. Happy Valley and Ped State.

Don't know what to think about this one. Does WVU have a chance? Sure. ("So you're saying there's a chance...").

Who knows.

Things I want to see today, regardless of the outcome. Mean. On both lines. Like I'm gonna hit you so hard you will need a haircut when you wake up mean... Mental discipline. No delay of game penalties after a timeout. No false starts. PLEASE. Run the ball. The line and backfield are loaded. Use it. A mobile QB brings another weapon to the arsenal. Use that, too. Defense. Play fast. Get off the field on third down.

No turnovers.

Obviously, WVU has their hands full tonight.

So - optimistic me - WVU wins 38-35. Pessimistic me - WVU loses 49-13. Realistic me - WVU loses 38-21. Playing with house money tonight, so just get out there and beat up on them.

And at least we aren't Arizona State, who darn near crapped the bed to Southern Arizona last night. Way to represent, boys (albeit in a dust storm and thunderstorm delay/monsoon).

Just show up with a chip on our shoulders and hit them in the mouth first.

Welcome back to football, my Blue Lot brethren!

LGM!!!

Thank you Democrats!

It's been a long time coming, and its about time you racist fks finally poke the bear you've held down for so long so much that you've woken it up. The bear is waking up from its sleep, and now its going to bite you in the ass.

In all my my years, I have never met a group of people as racist as white liberals. The black folks are waking up, and now they will begin learning things. They will learn what has really been done to them for decades, and they will put an end to it with the help of real Americans.

This is just getting started. The more corruption you idiots try, the worse it will backfire. The election is a long ways away. By the time it is here, there may not even be a democrat party.

Underdogs!

Who doesn’t love an underdog? WVU has pretty much always been an underdog or at least seen as an underdog. I used to relish that role growing up surrounded Pitt and Penn State fans. They could never understand the passion even in defeat…WVU always fought to the end.

As Jack Fleming would say - WVU is the prohibitive underdog. But he would also say, Mountaineers enjoy walking in where angels fear to tread. Here’s to hoping the boys have that mentality tonight!

Fellow Mountaineers: One hell of an opportunity Saturday

We have one hell of an opportunity Saturday, gentlemen. Very rarely does one like this come your way.

My God, we've beaten ourselves up on here for the past year, bemoaning our fate, woe is me, etc. Bottom line, come Saturday night, the only thing that matters is the opportunity before us in prime time, in front of millions watching on NBC, and 100,000+ in Happy F---ing Valley.

I've personally sat in that stadium and watch us slowly die a thousand deaths. When I enter that God awful place Saturday night, I'll see ghosts on that field. I'll see Craig Taylor running down that sideline, and red flags flying. I'll see Major...Hoss...A.B. Brown...Willie D. It's a venerable House of Horrors.

Fellow Mountaineers, despite our current state of affairs, we have one hell of a football program. It's one from which you should draw a hell of a lot of pride. And it always hits hard this time of year. You think of those memories, some a bit more faded than others, of when we rose to the occasion. "The Prohibitive Underdog" Jack liked to say....going "where angels fear to tread". There's too much history here, too much invested in this program by Mountaineer Nation, too many sacks of Doug Flutie, too many celebrations on High Street....to allow us to simply fade away into that good night.

I posted earlier this week, that Don Draper once said "if you do not like what is being said, then change the conversation." No one likes what is being said about our Mountaineers right now, because nothing is being said. We are off the radar, save for the "hot seat" discussions. Well, what better place to change the conversation than Happy Valley, Pennsylvania on Saturday night...a place which has been that House of Horrors for so many years. You go there, you line up, punch them in the mouth, fight for every yard, every inch - block and tackle. Fundamental football. We can win this game.

I want to win this game as badly as I've wanted to win a football game in quite some time. When I was walking into the Georgia Dome to watch the '05 Sugar Bowl, a Georgia fan said to me "You ready for SEC football?!" and I replied "All I see is an opportunity to shut some mouths and open some eyes." There may have been a few more colorful words in there. I have the same feeling about this game. Penn State is who we thought they were - they still think very highly of themselves. Their writers come to our site and post "42-17". When we beat them for a recruit, the reply is always "We didn't want that kid anyway".

We have an Opportunity in one game, to change it all. We come out, win that game, then the conversation changes. All of the sudden, 3-0 becomes a possibility. WVU being ranked becomes a possibility. Can we beat Texas Tech...4-0? Could we possibly believe in Neal Brown running the offense he was always supposed to run, with a mobile QB who is a threat to score? Could the Defense turn it around and simply play like they did in the years prior to 2022? Could WVU be a darkhorse, coming out of nowhere in 2023? If we take care of business Saturday night, all of this becomes a possibility. What an Opportunity.

A daunting task. The referee will hold up his hand, ball on the tee, 100,000+ will be deafening... a sea of white - stained with splotches of gold everywhere. The gold will be heard. Every time we score, the gold will be heard, and the white will shake their heads "I forgot how crazy...". Everyone says we don't stand a chance. I'm a big believer in fate, but for this opportunity to come on this stage...something special could occur.

So, let's head North for this chance to change it all, in one game. Bring on the white hats, and black shoes.

Wake up all haters, noobs, and sycophants . . .

Eagerly awaiting the inevitable babble that may spew forth from the mouths of fools, should they dare to open them, once we emerge victorious today; oh-so-graciously acknowledging the feeble-minded, imbecilic noobs who continue to infest this wretched place with their nauseatingly sycophantic tendencies.

No extensions shall be bestowed upon the pitiful consumers of that toxic elixir known as Haterade. The revered Board of Initiated has convened, deliberated upon your sorry fate, and prescribed not only VESIcare but also an urgent need for you to stumble upon a clue.

As the Climb ostensibly reaches its climax, the hunt is on for individuals endowed with mental resilience resembling titanium, and with erections so diamond-hard that they could double as anchors to counteract their own inevitable bleeding hands—pushing back against the staggering idiocy of the world and its insipid society. A persona of unwavering solidity, entirely at odds with anything remotely flaccid is desired.

The imminent triumph over Penn State, the first in an epoch since the revered Saint Stewart, is poised to grace us with its presence.

Prepare to brace yourself for the impending success as noobs are purged; setting course towards a Hater Free society.

WVU Release Mountaineers Shut Out Yale to Remain Perfect

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (Sept. 1, 2023) The West Virginia University men’s soccer team recorded its third straight shutout to begin the 2023 campaign on Friday, defeating Yale, 2-0, in the squad’s first road test of the season. The Mountaineers stay unblemished at 3-0 while the Bulldogs fall to 0-1 after their first game of the year.

For the second straight game, senior Yutaro Tsukada tallied three points with a goal and an assist while sophomore Marcus Caldeira found the back of the net for the third straight contest to begin the season.

Senior Jackson Lee did not have to make a save on the night as the WVU back line only allowed five shots, none of which were on goal.

Tsukada had a pair of shots in the first 15 minutes but could not convert. He was rewarded for his hard work in the 33rd minute as he stepped up to the penalty spot after a Yale handball in the box and calmly converted to put WVU up, 1-0.

Prior to the break, junior Dante Huckaby had a couple of opportunities, having his shot saved by the Bulldog keeper in the 36th minute before heading a shot off the right post in the 40th minute.

In the 53rd minute, Tsukada moved around a defender to get into the box before knocking the ball over to Caldeira who curled a shot around the defense and into the right side of the goal. Caldeira now has four goals in just three games this season after having five all last year.

Overall, West Virginia outshot the Bulldogs, 7-5, including a 5-0 edge in shots on goal while Yale had a 4-1 advantage in corner kicks. Yale had a tough time keeping up with WVU’s speed as they committed 17 fouls compared to just nine for the Mountaineers.

It is the first time since 2006 that the Mountaineers have opened the season with three consecutive shutouts and first time since 2005 opening with three straight shutout wins. The only other instance of opening with three straight clean sheets happened in 1998. West Virginia has never begun a season with four consecutive shutouts.
