A Rollercoaster of Emotions

I've got to admit, I'm feeling a mix of emotions after that last game. On one hand, I'm absolutely ecstatic about our win – our team pulled through, and it was an incredible victory. But on the other hand, it's tough to ignore the fact that we were missing some key players due to injuries, and we still played our hearts out. Part of me would give up that win knowing that our injured players could play next week. I really hate it for these guys, they work so hard.

Hopefully from this point forward, under Coach Brown we will be a team that's known for playing hard, and sometimes that means getting a little rowdy on the field. That game was no exception, it was a hard-hitting showdown for sure. However, there's one thing that still gets to me, just like the incident where they tried to rip Trickett‘s head off TCU seems to always play on the edge of being a dirty team.

Sonny Dykes had burr under his ass all night and was glad he cost his team 15 yards.

Damn...another "ugly" win that was a thing of beauty!!!!

Yeah it was ugly, it was full of WTF plays...it lacked scoring...it wasn't "pretty"..but damn it tell me those kids didn't pour their hearts into that game? I know we'll have our typical complainers and bitchers and all of their complaining and bitching is probably legitimate. However I'm just going to celebrate one of the gutsiest battles we've won in a long time. I'll read all the complaints tomorrow. Tonight, it's just a great day to be a Mountaineer wherever you may be!

4-1

Who really thought that was coming? This summer, we knew what the team makeup would be and the concerns. I will say, many didn't think this team had heart. They showed it each game but today, it was the best we have seen under NB.

Good for the team. I don't know what to expect each week forward. At least for today, it feels good to be 4-1.

Go Mountaineers!!!!!! :)

I still think 7 or 8 wins.

PSU is a top ten team with a lot of talent and speed. Many overrected to this loss. It was not much different than OSU 98. This is why I don't get the weeeeeeeee bs when we land a three star recruit. Last night you saw the difference between 3 stars and 4/5 star talent. They had a "man" at QB. We really need to get a good QB. We are never going to match a program like that talent wise or have their depth. A very good QB can level the playing field some and give us a chance. I still think if we fix a few things 8 wins.

Learning curve for Neal?

I am not getting my hopes yet of this entire thing getting back on track. But I am very satisfied from last night.

Is it fair to say Neal Brown underestimated the jump from Troy to big 12 football at WVU? I think he came in here thinking his plan that worked at Troy would work here entirely.

Coaching staff deserves some credit. Just need to get better receivers. Some playmakers, it’s not all on the QB.
