The latest masterclass of the falling apart of WV schools
wackyworldwv.substack.com
Yes, you read the title right, bed bugs were found at Man High School. I don’t care even if it is the “small number” that the
WSAZ report has it at. (Congrats to them for getting the scoop by the way.)
At least the day was already scheduled in Logan County to be an off day for students, so we didn’t have to deal with losing a school day for this.
I don’t understand how this happens in a public school (usually you hear about lice for a bug giving school problems), and no wonder why West Virginians feel like the public education system is falling apart.
This is the same state that had
Raleigh County cancel a full week of school in early January a full 10-15 days after the hellacious cold of Christmas Eve and Day due to water problems.
The same state that had
Berkeley County Schools suffer a cyberattack to the point where the system failed and schools had to be closed a day in February.
The same state where
James Monroe High had to shut down for a period due to an electrical fire in the building in September.
And now, freaking bed bugs. Maybe it is time for the state to do some additional funding for current school infrastructure. We already have enough consolidation efforts to deal with.
