Brown/Beamer Comparison

I know many on here are still very unhappy with the performance of the football team the past five seasons, and rightfully so. We have been mediocre at best, and that’s just not good enough. However, I still think the jury is out on Coach Brown. If you look at Frank Beamer‘s career with Virginia Tech, in his first five seasons, he won 2, 3, 6, 6 and 5 games respectively. In his sixth season, he only won 2 games, and they nearly fired him. In his seventh season he won nine games and would go on to win 10 or more games in a season 13 times. I’m not saying that Neal Brown is as good as coach as Frank Beamer, but what I am saying is sometimes it takes a while to get things rolling, especially for schools like West Virginia and Virginia Tech who are not bluebloods. Also, there is no guarantee that switching coaches is going to get us anything more than extreme mediocrity. Let’s get behind this team because I could see us being preseason top 25 next year and this program really taking off.

Football fans. PSU has one loss and their fans are miserable.

Example of many thread they have had since they lost to Ohio State.

This just in

the head skunkweasel is scheduled to be on an episode of the reality show "cheaters".......rumor has it He got caught on camera with Cheeseburglar.....supposedly lots of ketchup and mustard involved along with a little wesson oil......meatchicken authorities attempting to obtain a gag order to prevent the video being shown......this is just NOT going away anytime soon

Pick’M Week 9

I would say it is done for the HCNB era. I will say his teams usually don’t quit, so hopefully some entertaining games and wins ahead. 24 games on the slate this week. First game Thur 10/26 at 7:30PM. Tie breaker total points scored WVU vs UCF.

5-3

Still irritates me that we lost the Houston game in that hail mary. Otherwise, we should be at least 6-2.

BYU (5-2)
@ OU (7-0)
Cincy (2-5)
@ baylor (3-4)

We can have an opportunity to win 3 out of 4 and finish the regular season at 8-4. Then a possible bowl win.

Even at two losses, going 7 -5 for the regular season and a possible bowl win.

In terms of NB:

If at 8 wins, I don't see NB getting fired. He will be back for the following year.

With 7 wins (7-6 hypothetically), it would be interesting to see what we do.

At 6 wins and this current overall weak schedule, will WVU make a move?
