Good:
1. TJ Jackson has been a find. Dude has a motor on tilt and is out for blood. 4 TFL and 1.5 sacks in his first start at Pitt. Currently 28th in the country in sacks.
2. 951 yards & 83 points in the last two games.
3. We have a very good PK in Michael Hayes II, and I have a feeling he's going to win one for WVU this year. 4-4 on the year in FGs, 10-10 on XP. 33/40 on FG for career over three years, 101/102 on XP.
Bad:
1. Kickoffs - Why are these so difficult? Why can't we recruit a kicking specialist who just boots it into the end zone? Can we try the old DonnyBall pooch kickoff? Two offsides flags last week against Pitt and we kick the ball out of bounds after taking a 10-point lead...
2. Garrett Greene at 59.3% completion rate (48 of 81 passing). The efficient intermediate game we were all promised has yet to materialize.
3. Ben Cutter. Looks like he's wearing ankle weights out there. Noticeably slow at the point of attack, has not impressed.
Ugly:
1. Morgantown as Turnover City. We have had a snap hit a WR in motion. We had a punt blocked for a touchdown on a punt safe formation. Garrett has fumbled multiple times, and we've luckily recovered most of them. Ditto Jaheim White, although he lost one against UAlbany. We don't force TOs, we can't force TOs, we can't even take advantage of TOs when we do get them (the infamous "Here's the Ball Back Guys!" two play sequence). Currently ranked #124 in TO Margin. I think that may be last place.
2. It's too easy to say "secondary". So, I'll say Dontez Fagan. Dude hasn't even started a game and already has 3 PI's and a dropped pick-6.
3. Our WRs and our passing game as a whole. Yes, Justin Robinson made a highlight grab last week...for his 3rd catch of the year. Yes, Jaden Bray is averaging 44 ypc...on 2 catches over 3 games. Huddy Clement has 7 catches for 81 yards over 3 games. That was a half for Stedman Bailey. Traylon Ray has a long catch of 25 yards and 0 TDs this season. And our 4-star WR recruit RicDarius Farmer is nonexistent.
