Further proof of the downhill slide in your smack. So you're rich enough to not ever work again
Not having to work again doesn't mean I am "rich." If you can't figure out what I will show you below, I can link you with some financial advisors:
$880,000 and a condo paid off. What does that allow? With even low-yielding interest (even in a basic bank savings account at just 3%), it allows to live on $26,400/year (with no mortgage) until I am over 70. $2200/month isn't a lot of money to live on, but you must consider: condo paid off, car paid off.
Assume, $200-$300/month on property tax (giving room for an increase in property taxes). If I want to buy another car and not pay cash, assume $800/month for the car and insurance. Of course, this cost goes away after 3-5 years, but assume I always buy another nice car immediately after paying each one off and get nothing in return for selling the previous car (not realistic, but it gives me a buffer of hundreds of dollars per month for security). Assume another $100 for gas. $300/month for food. $200/month for car/house fixes. $300/month for entertainment, clothes, gifts. $150-$250/month for my association fees (again counting on an increase). Another $100 for cell phone and electricity. That means I don't have to work another day in my life and can still live directly on the beach in a fairly large condo without a care in the world.
But, then you have to consider the social security I will get (assume only $500) and the royalties I get every quarter (which I could live on alone). Putting those in just a basic savings account more than covers inflation and gives me an additional 25 years.
Rich? No. Just a better work ethic than you and a smarter (more efficient) work ethic than you.
and say this is how you choose to spend your time?? .
Message board posting doesn't take up much time. I realize, since you are older, typing probably takes a lot of time for you, but I am a very fast typer. How I spent my time? Well, last night I sat and ate cake with Erykah Badu, Leon Bridges, Pete Rock, and Talib Kweli for Miss Badu's birthday. I skipped out early because Tomi Lahren (don't judge) asked me to meet her out for a late night bite.
Tomorrow? I will be with The Lumineers. The next day I will be with Bebe Rexha. The next night I will be with Daya. The next night I will be with Slick Rick, Big Daddy Kane, and Doug E Fresh. The next night I will be with Musiq Souchild and Chrisette Michele. The next night I will be with R Kelly. I am headed out to the pool now. Enjoy your work day.
Yep, wealthy guys always take crappy asst coaching jobs at Bethune cookman and Abilene Christian. And file a lawsuit for discrimination. Hahhhhhhhahahaha.
Thanks for reminding me- those settlement checks have to be deposited by next week I believe. They have a 180 day limit on them. Change that $880,000 number to almost $1 million, please, starting next week.
"Crappy?" A top 25 FCS team while living on the beach isn't crappy to the overwhelming number of college and high school coaches who would beg for it. Getting to recruit in Texas for another FCS with a brand new stadium isn't crappy to most coaches. Filing a lawsuit has nothing to do with one's financial status. A drive-thru Mexican restaurant tried charging me $.25 for a cup of water last week, so I canceled my whole order. Would paying $.25 hurt anyone on this board? No. I do things based on principle, which is why I haven't eaten at Chick-Fil-A in years.
