..take a breath over this basketball loss. Some of the over-reaction has ranged from eye rolling to hilarious. It happens. It’s happened many times before to many, many teams and it will happen again. If anything it should be perfectly understandable that it happened to this particular group at this particular time.
We’re critically under manned, we had some guys who really didn’t play well, we didn’t shoot well as a team, we had some really bad/untimely turnovers and we ran into a ridiculously unconscious, blazing hot kid on the other side who made everything he looked at regardless of who was on him. That’s the recipe for any upset like this. Always has been, always will be and this beat up team was ripe for it.
Give this team this, they didn’t give up and they didn’t make excuses. I though Josh did about all he could in-game and at least in post-game we didn’t have to listen to him bad mouth his players and act like it was anyone’s fault but his own. Five straight years of that mess was enough. So any of you bad-mouthing these kids or this coach when they really need our support the most need to either grow a pair or get to your safe space and cry it out there.
