The final day to enter the transfer portal during this window will be Jan. 18. Now, that doesn't mean that all players in the portal have to decide by then simply that if you're going to enter the transfer portal you must have alerted the school's compliance office by that date. I think obviously if players return to school for the second semester it is a good sign that they plan to remain with the program, but it's not always a guarantee. West Virginia will start back school Jan. 9 and the last day to register is Jan. 13. Which early enrollees will need to be enrolled at that time. A second transfer portal window will be open from May 1 through May 15 in the spring.
