the past few days but it's really starting to get out there now is the fact that North Carolina State wide receiver transfer Devin Carter has yet to enroll at Penn State. He is listed in the directory there, but has not been announced by the school with the other transfer additions and the Nittany Lions are expected to receive a commitment today from Bowling Green transfer Tyrone Broden who is another tall outside wide receiver. Even more interesting is the other day he took down his commitment announcement to Penn State on social media which prompted Nittany Lion recruiting writers to start trying to dig into it. So what does all this mean? Well, right now it could be absolutely nothing. My understanding is that the Nittany Lions still want Carter but right now nothing has moved toward it being final. West Virginia is a school that was very active in the recruitment of Carter and it's a name to at least keep in mind moving ahead as the program looks to add wide receivers. Both schools are on the same enrollment timeline by the end of the week, but this doesn't mean other schools couldn't be involved either so this isn't automatically to be assumed that West Virginia could be the only school that stands to benefit if he doesn't enroll in Happy Valley.

Carter spent five years at North Carolina State and hauled in 118 catches for 1,906 yards and 10 touchdowns during his time on the field. This past season Carter caught 25 passes for 406 yards and a pair of touchdowns but missed several games due to injury. He will have one year left in his career and is a native of North Carolina. An experienced wide receiver with over 2,000 career snaps and 41 career starts.
