Ever heard of the Pygmalion Effect? In essence, if you have a preconceived notion about someone, regardless of what that person says or does, you will see or hear the very thing you expect of them even if it is untrue.
Take Zeke Miller. He believes Trump is a bigot. So Trump allows some reporters into the Oval Office yesterday and Zeke Miller reported (correctly) that the Churchill bust has been returned to the Oval Office (Obama had it removed) and then reported that the MLK bust was removed by Trump.
Problem is, the bust of MLK is still there. Zeke just didn't scan the entire Oval Office or he would have seen it. He assumed Trump to be a racist and he collected his evidence, wrong though it might be.
Good ole Zeke apologized but it demonstrates what the media is going to do over the next 4 years. Regardless of what Trump says or does, the Pygmalion Effect will rule their thinking.
