You can cry about it all you want. WVU has to pay its bills, unlike Marshall. We make significantly more, playing any other team, including IAA teams. Plus, playing a team ranked in the 70s does nothing for our strength of schedule...
That isnt true at all. We offered a contract you guys walked away. Kinda hard to play the victim when you had the chance to play and didnt.

I'd like to know exactly how many P-5 programs give the lower tier schools home and home contracts........WVU is a P-5 affiliate.....MU is affiliated with one of the lesser conferences.... Also, there are many more traditional rivals that are closer to Morgantown than Huntington....like Penn State, Pitt, and Maryland, all P-5 schools that we have chosen to agree to home and home schedules with because they are nationally respected opponents. The only logical argument in WVU and Marshall playing one another every year is the fact that both schools lie within the same state border. Based on that logic Marshall should consider giving home and home contracts to the likes of West Liberty and Glenville State - it would be good for the economy..... there would be no more interest in Huntington to see that happen than there would be in Morgantown if the Herdiots got their coveted home and home with the flagship. Grow a set Tony, contact the Marshall administration at how good it would be for the state to give those little boys in Buckhannon, down at Concord, and over at Shepherd their chance at the big time........lol.
