Stanford.....all liberal institutions.....teaching the liberal way....lie, cheat, steal,bribe....anything to get ahead......all the while taking college spots and financial aid from students who really deserved it......democratic socialism

Interesting. Perception in my school district is Wake is not liberal.

if so they sure haven't done much with it...witness 2008-2016 and the clown show that is liberalism today...but you go on ahead believing it

Don’t need any of that fancy book learnin’! And don’t need no robots to fly my aero-planes around!!

I think it depends on the degree you are seeking. I studied Math. I couldn't tell you the politics of any of my professors. If you are studying Women's Studies, you're going to get a healthy dose of liberal politics.

I think your comment is accurate for most colleges including most in the OP. The poster is very slanted in his beliefs. But there are many liberal colleges as there are conservative. But the Fox news crowd always blow things out of reality with their spin.

Condoleezza Rice is a PoliSci prof at Stanford, and she worked there for a while before she was part of a GOP administration. Nothing is absolute. A lot of students in colleges are liberal, but it's usually the nature of people to be more liberal in youth than old age. That's often a relative thing by individual though, and more liberal does not necessarily mean liberal at all.

I'm not saying Stanford is liberal.

A womens soccer coach takes a bribe and we are condemning the entire institution?

you are labeling it as a liberal issue. It isn't. Wonder why you are doing what you are doing? That is the slant.

Why the simplest things have to be be explained to simple people.

I'm going to remember to revisit this thread when the name Kushner starts getting tossed around more on the topic.

no...I said the institutions were liberal and they are........simple things being explained to simple people......yep...you're right there.....and if it happened at Bob Jones university or Liberty I'd be just as critical

Better than what happens at Baylor though.

It appears people with zero values as expressed on this board as an example that would be willing to cheat to get into prestigious schools wouldn't be choosing Bob Jones or Liberty. No need to cheat to get into those brainwashing colleges.

Damn, the stupidity.

So, me and Boom? A flaming liberal and a conservative nationalist?

You also said this isn't a liberal or conservative thing. That is correct. Now you are saying it is. Which is it in your warped mind?

Lack of values doesn't have a political affiliation.

THEY'RE ALL LIBERALS! Are we surprised?

At the center of the scandal are the Edge College & Career Network, also known as the Key, and a nonprofit organization, the Key Worldwide Foundation, that prosecutors say effectively were a single enterprise. This country was built on right vs wrong. The whole idea is everyone should get an equal chance at succeeding. In reality, that is impossible but that doesn't mean cheating and those with privilege should have an advantage in things that should be objective, such as SAT scores and college admissions.

If one that has the ability to get a leg up whether it is a special talent, natural intelligence, parents willing to pay for better schools and tutors out of their own pockets or whatever in order to be more attractive in something that is meant to be "fair", that is fair game in society. But for those that try to cheat in order to get the advantage and think that is ok, where the hell are your values?

Your communication skills suck. What was all that nonsense about Bob Jones and Liberty? Just an opportune time to bash Evangelicals?

And I didn’t backtrack to say it was liberal vs conservative. The two people “lacking values” as you put it were Boom and myself, as he and I were the only ones who outright said it wasn’t a big deal.

Your Trumpster buddy brought up those schools as a stupid retort and I made a point which obviously went over your peabrain. Not surprising.

And yes, you stated you have no problem with cheating. It isn't a political thing. That we agree on.

Everyone to the right of you folks gets "labeled". Cut out the self righteous indignation. Anyone not to the Left of some Leftist gets a label. You all don't label yourselves because Leftism is your natural state. It's just "what is".

You never hear Leftists call other Leftists on the extreme Left "extremists". There is no extremism on the far Left...at least it never gets called that by the Left.

My values are just fine. They’re centered on ensuring success for kids.

Your intellectual horsepower is awe inspiring. I only wish I could be you, Bru.

Your intellectual horsepower is awe inspiring. I only wish I could be you, Bru.

If you read his posts (and virtually all of the folks on the Left) they almost always insult you or your intelligence for either disagreeing with them or pointing out where they are in error or mistaken with their facts.

It's axiomatic.

Disagree with a Leftist, or point out something they are wrong about...you are guaranteed to be ridiculed, insulted, or your intelligence mocked, or some other derision or epithet will be hurled your way. They are incapable of simply stating their factual disagreements with you or factually rebutting what you correct in their errors. They HAVE to insult you for disagreeing with them or actually having the nerve to challenge their superior intellects which of course are beyond reproach. [eyeroll]

It's as consistent as they are wrong. Go back and read their responses to folks who disagree with them or challenge them (like this guy) and almost anyone else on the Left. With a few exceptions it's actually quite comical, as much as it is sad.
