Even the low information message board members should be able to see the common denominator:

This info could he totally bogus, but during the GSU game they did a shot if another special teams coach (not DeForrest) and said he was brought in to fix the special teams. I'm well aware the tv guys sometimes get their facts askew. So take it for what it's worth.
Only way EFORE should be at WVU games is by paying admission!!! I did see safeties out of position a lot against Liberty!!! who coaches them.....oh yeah!!
that is laughable at best.....He has inherited a group of 4 year players at that position and yet they found themselves very out of place against Liberty......EFORE has no business being at our games unless it is through paid admission!!!! the $150000 pay cut was no where near enough of a cut.
Best in business are usually working on improving resumes and moving up the ladder to someday be the top guy.....not bouncing around jobs on the same team trying to finally find a place he can do the least damage.......

Is that why prior to signing a short term contract (with a sizable pay cut I might add) he was given the chance to look around for a more long term contract offer. After no one offered him, he re-signed here.

Welcome back Hank. How many different names do you go by these days (hopefully Sybil isn't one of them)? What part of "best in the business" don't you understand. Without Joe, Lambert and O'Toole wouldn't even be here.
And let's blame all of our defensive problems on a first year coordinator rather the two men who allowed the roster to be depleted (Casteel and Stewart). That "embarrassment" was years in the making.

Umm, arguments over roster depletion, 2 very good ST games this season among years of horrid performance (except Lambert and Alford) aside, there is no such thing as "greener pastures" than $1,850,000 in 4 years for somebody with Defo's marginal record of both accomplishment and train wrecks at his several positions at WVU, virtually a new one every year

OMG.........time to go puke.. I am not sure of the relationship between DaForrest and Holgorsen, but it has nothing to do with DaForrest being a good coach. He has been demoted and demoted and demoted and taken a cut in pay and apparently no one has been knocking his door down. Friendship?? Sure.........

And if that wasn't enough, objectively looking at what DeForest has done with the kicking games at OSU and WVU proves both head coaches right. He knows how to recruit them, develop them, and send them on to the NFL.
Assistant coaching jobs are always in flux - more compensation, less compensation, more responsibility, less responsibility - doesn't really mean anything. Go by what the head coach says "best in the business" and just be thankful that DeForest works for Holgorsen.
