His parents are from Michigan. His mother was pregnant with him when they moved.
Everyone should remember this when a person posts how "WVU should recruit more in-state players and offer them scholarships". There's no loyalty anymore. Clement worked hard, and was rewarded with a scholarship. How does he repay his in-state team? By leaving for the highest bidder.

.Coaches at schools like WVU can only hope for adequate roster management every year not building any type of team culture. With the exception of the Military academies, the era of playing for the school and winning one for the Gipper is over.

He don’t owe no one anything…especially his high school English teacher. I agree with some of the others. The minute that getting g a scholarship and all access to facilities and development wasn’t enough for these “kids” and money became permissible, they need to be able to accept the criticism. Look forward to never hearing from some of these kids again, and look forward more to the ones, like Nicco, who want to stay and be part of the solution.

It has nothing to do with Rod leaving the first time. It's all about the money. How old was the kid 2 or something in 2007. Geez lighten up people.
Good luck Huddy. He was a small bright spot on a bad team but he wasn't really that great overall. Rich Rod will replace him so easily its not even worth worrying about. This is a non issue.
RR still doesn't pass the ball..averaged 190 last season and 170 the two before that...Illinois averaged 264 last year... it's going to be difficult to recruit talented WR's.

Hudson, quit crying and go get your money. Don't let the door hit you in the a$$ on your way to Illinois. And don't come crying back in a year after your production drops drastically.

Rod would prefer, just like other coaches in football, to be as close to 50/50 as possible.
WVU is better off in Rich Rod's style of offense. It's much easier to recruit freak athletic QB than to go out and get 4-5 freak WR's. Our most consistent years offensively were with mobile QB's. I think the biggest thing that Rich Rod has already addressed that he didn't his first time at WVU is the defensive side of the ball. If we have a solid defense, and run the ball 60/40, control the clock, then wins should pile up.

Exactly. And that style will translate well into the Big 12. Arizona State ran a similar offense as Rod and look what they just did in their first year of the Big12.WVU is better off in Rich Rod's style of offense. I don't think the wins will ever pile up. If WVU does get a dynamic player the odds of keeping him are slim...WVU along with most of the B12 are like AAA baseball teams with players able to transfer and not sit out..WVU is better off in Rich Rod's style of offense. just on the defensive side of the ball starters have been lost to LSU, Miss St, Auburn, SMU. Miami (2), and Georgia

When you have a soft coach you get a soft culture. Hudson is the result of a wimpy coach who allowed the players to run the team. It’s no wonder we weren’t winning. Good riddance. He could’ve been appreciative of the opportunity given to him by WVU. It probably saved him from playing unnoticed in the WVIAC at a place like WV Wesleyan. Instead he tells WVU and the fans “I don’t owe nobody nothing.”. While that may be true, he should’ve paid attention in English class.
And ASU was ripped off in Texas game by poor officiating.

Genetics have far more to do with 40 times than strength and conditioning. Strength and conditioning on the other hand allows a 4.3 speed guy to still stay under 5 seconds after running that 40 yard dash dozens of times earlier.
Do you honestly believe that someone can boost their 40 time when they get to be 18-21 years old? The ONLY thing that a strength and conditioning coach can increase is start/explosion times. Will that help a 40-time? Yes, by a non-measurable result. Basically, they could help a person who ran a 4.35 to run a 4.34.
If that's the case...how about weight gain?...Mesidor was 200 lbs when he got here and over 230 when Miami poached him.

it's going to be a long several years for everyone. I always thought he had a gift for running an offense...he's also one of the weirdest people to ever coach college football .
