This game provided everything you could ever ask for in a game............and less. Less than 12 players on the field I mean. OK................the Mountaineers are 8-1. Still not satisfied. Right?
Howard is always good for a game like that and we survived. Huge. The O will empty the tank next week guaranteed.

We won this one and we lost the one at OSU.
Hopefully that's it for the rest of the season.

OSU is going to end up 9-3 or 10-2, nothing wrong with losing at their place
Kudos to the Santa Fe UT alums at Boxcar. Couldn't have been more welcomed had I been at Mountaineer Field.

ESPN said this morning that "if WVU wins today, it's time for the committee and everyone else to start taking them serious". We shall see......
I'm just talking about Sky's performance.

But that team we beat today, in a year or two, especially if Strong is still there, will be a monster.
Agreed. Barring a barrage of upsets this team does not belong in the playoff discussion. Still to date have beat nobody of relevance.
And Washington has? They beat Utah. Big Whoop. IF we beat Oklahoma next week, and win the next 2 following that, and are 11-1 and the Big 12 outright Champ....Damn straight we belong!
So far. Remember history? In 10 years, an average of ONE unbeaten team before the postseason. ONE.
So an 11-1 WVU would be in the mix with all the other 1-loss teams. If there are only 3 1-loss teams and the Mountaineers are Big 12 champs, WVU will be in the Football Final Four. And, at the worst, the New Year's 6-pack of bowls.

Cross that bridge when we get to it, but right now we have no business talking about it unless things happen outside of WVU's control.

OSU loss
Louisville loss
Washington loss x 2
Auburn loss
OK State loss
Then, assuming something nuts doesn't happen and either Bama, Mich, or Clemson loses twice, WVU can legitimately enter the conversation, which doesn't mean they get in, it simply means they can be talked about. Win the Big XII is the goal, anything extra is gravy.
Why are you so anti-WVU? Other than Alabama and Michigan (right now), we are just as good as the other teams. We lost to a very good Ok State team at their field and 3 turnovers changed that game.
Your "needs" are not needed for WVU.....maybe OK State loss, but they are tied right now 28-28 with Texas Tech......
IF.......IF WVU goes 11-1, then we WILL jump ahead of Auburn (unless they win the SEC) and Louisville (unless they win the ACC) and Ohio State (unless they win the Big 10).......the committee will NOT leave a 1-loss Big 12 champ out of the mix for another team that did not win their league......they will NOT do that because they will NOT want to have to answer the questions about that.....
I'm not anti WVU just stating the obvious. A 1 loss team with lesser SOS is not jumping others with better sos
Our SOS is better than Washington's.......and our 1 loss is every bit as good as Ohio State's 1 loss. And if we beat Oklahoma, then we are just as deserving as Ohio State......
If OSU has only 1 loss we will not jump them, they'll have an extra win, also have beaten Oklahoma and Michigan, you're crazy if you believe that.
Guess what? our friends to the north beat Clemson and Auburn lost to UGA.
