MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (Feb. 28, 2025) – The No. 2-ranked West Virginia University rifle team continues postseason action when they host to the Great American Rifle Conference (GARC) Championship on Saturday and Sunday, March 1-2. The competition is set to take place at the Bill McKenzie Mobile Rifle Range inside the WVU Shell Building in Morgantown.
Saturday starts with smallbore competition with two relays and finals taking place. Sunday's competition will feature air rifle action with two relays and finals taking place throughout the day. The top 8 competitors from both smallbore and air rifle relays will earn a spot in their respective finals.
The first smallbore relay will begin at 9 a.m. ET on Saturday, the second relay will follow at 11:15 a.m. The finals are set for 1:30 p.m. The first air rifle relay on Sunday will begin at 9 a.m., and the second relay will follow at 11 a.m. with finals set for 1 p.m.

The Mountaineers are in pursuit of their 17th GARC Championship title. WVU is looking for the programs third stright title after claiming the championship in each of the last two season. The Mountaineers have won 13 of the past 15 titles including 10 straight from 2010-2019.
West Virginia looks to sweep the GARC titles after winning the regular season with a perfect 5-0 record. The Mountaineers have won both the GARC regular season and tournament title in the same year 12 times in program history and look to accomplish the feat for the second straight season.
