WVU ranked #14. As Donald Trump would say, the system is rigged

And don't tell me Oklahoma State beat WVU. Ohio State lost to Penn State.
OSU also spanked the team at the top of your conference in their backyard.
OK lost to houston. Don't blame the CFP because the best team in your conference is mediocre. Blame your team for pooing the bed against Okst. Blame OK for playing their ooc like garbage. or for barely beating byu, ksu and tx.
What OOC wins does the b12 have that are worth mentioning?

You better beat OK by at least 20 if you want a chance....

Please ditch the persecution complex and enjoy the ride. This has been an unexpected pleasure. No one thought that we would be a top 10 team when the season started. If we win out, we might even get to the cfp. How great is that!

Ratings are in shitter for espnbc. They need big names at top and so do conferences for future contracts.

You do realize that IF Ohio State wins, they have placed them two so close together in the rankings that Michigan would likely drop out of the top 4.....HOWEVER.....Penn State would then rise up if they win out and would REPLACE them in the top 4......and Ohio State would also be in there sitting WITHOUT winning their conference.

I don't believe you have thought out the scenarios quite as much as you think you have.
Let's be honest and change the committee's name to the Barry Alvarez Selection Committee.

He obviously is influencing and running the show from the inside, thus 4 Big 10 teams so no matter who loses the Big 10 will get 1 or 2 in the Football Final Four.

You remember Barry, Wisconsin's coach forever.

Think him on the committee has anything to do with the Big 10 teams staying up the rankings, no matter whether they win or lose?

People bitched from the BCS relied on computers to help pick the teams. Letting a dozen or so biased people make the choices isn't working as well as the computer nerds picking teams.

Again, I'm rooting for Wisconsin to play Penn State for the Big 10 title, just to see Barry Alvarez's committee twist itself into pretzels trying to explain why Ohio State and Michigan made the Football Final Four.

One thing I don't think people are realizing is we HAVE to be ranked behind Oklahoma State because they beat us head to head. Same goes for Louisville and Clemson. We don't control our destiny toward the playoff. Even if we win out, we still have to hope that Oklahoma defeats Oklahoma State to even be in the discussion.

Technically, if we win Saturday night, we replace State and State replaces Oklahoma in the rankings, adjusted for a few spots depending upon wins and losses for the teams above us.

If both of the Oklahoma teams don't lose non-conference games, perhaps its 3 Big 12 teams sitting in the drivers seat for the playoff spots instead of the Big 10.

Why?

They have 2 losses and we only have 1.

If that is the rule, then why isn't Ahia State behind PSU?

And why isn't Pitt in the top 10 since they have 2 wins over top 10 schools? How many people can say that?

This Committee has no consistent rules. They use whatever they want to make the case they want for every school. It is all subjective and full of politics.

Barry Alvarez is clearly running the show. he has it set up so that no matter what happens 1 and maybe 2 Big 10 teams get in. Redic.

If the Mountaineers beat Oklahoma ............... they gonna jump some teams. Yes, they gonna jump a bunch of teams! ESPN can't do a dadgum thing to stop this from happening. On the other hand, if they lose to Oklahoma it's gonna be one of those 'I told you so' moments and WV gonna drop like a rock. Warez

Maybe the system was more accurate than some of us want to admit?

Perhaps. But I think WVU is better than last night's performance. A team couldn't have played worse. So many turnovers and dumb penalties. Take away just 1 of those turnovers and you have a game. Oklahoma is the better team. But if WVU played them in a best of 7 series, I think WVU could take 2 games.

Now comes the intriguing part, what will happen in the rankings. Will the committee give us a fair shake like they do with other teams when they lose to a solid opponent and only drop us 2 spots at the maximum? Remember we were already a bit low in the rankings and we did just play the #9 team. WVU should not drop farther than #16. If WVU was a SEC team, they wouldn't drop at all.

Does this bullshtt posturing ever end. Take a lesson from last night...posturing doesn't win games. Key wins get good rankings and we blew our chance. We are a decent but not elite team.

We will be ranked behind W. Michigan and probably 6-4 LSU if we are ranked at all. Then it will be hard to justify complaints after this performance.

If trump were a mountaineer fan he would be calling holgersen a lightweight,Dope and loser this morning. The 3 words he used most commonly to describe his opponents during the 2015-16 election cycle.

. Missouri is a quality win. All SEC teams are ranked preseason. SEC is the best. ESPN tells me so. Thus, it's still a quality win. SEC is just that dominate this year. That's why Mizzou doesn't have more wins. If Mizzou played in a weak conference like the Big 12, they would have at least 7 wins. SEC is great. ESPN tells me so.
