Dylan Jay update:
Today makes two weeks since Dylan was admitted into Ruby Memorial hospital . Thank you so much for all your prayers and kind words. My wife flew in and has been there the entire time. I will be arriving next Monday from WA state.
It's been a roller coaster ride of emotions and health updates. He's had some fairly strong days of eating liquids, soft food, and even regular food like chicken and rice. However, due to lingering intestinal infection many other days he has not been able to keep food down. Yesterday was a tough one for him when he woke up with severe abdominal pain and chills with high fever. CAT scan revealed quite a bit of fluid around his intestines, so they took him back into surgery and found he had 2 L of pus that needed to be removed. Good news is the original suture of his bowel was intact and no signs of leakage. He was placed on ventilator until his vitals could stabilize. We are praying that all infection has dispersed and he can start on a healthy road to recovery.
