MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (March 24, 2025) – The West Virginia University baseball team wraps up its homestand with a game against in-state rival Marshall, Tuesday, at Kendrick Family Ballpark. First pitch is set for 6:30 p.m.
Tickets are available at WVUGame.com, by calling 1-800-WVU-GAME or visiting the Mountaineer Ticket Office at Kendrick Family Ballpark. Student tickets are free with a WVU ID. Fans can watch the game on ESPN+, listen on Mountaineer Sports Network, and can follow with live stats at WVUsports.com.
It is the annual TRUE BLUE game as all fans are encouraged to wear blue to the stadium. The first 800 fans will also receive a WVU Baseball Beanie courtesy of WVU Medicine.
West Virginia is 19-3 on the season after going 1-2 over the weekend against Arizona. The Wildcats and Mountaineers played a marathon 16-inning game on Friday night in which Arizona came away victorious, 6-4. WVU bounced back on Saturday with an 11-3 win before dropping the finale, 11-4.
The Mountaineers are in two polls this week, clocking in at No. 16 by Perfect Game and No. 23 by the NCBWA.
West Virginia is currently eighth in the country with a 3.29 staff ERA, which includes seven pitchers with ERA under three. At the plate, they are hitting .310 as a team, 34th best in the country and second in the Big 12.

RHP David Hagen (2-0, 3.75 ERA, 10 K, 3 BB, 12.0 IP) vs. RHP Fenix DiGiacomo (1-3, 8.46 ERA, 11 K, 11 BB, 22.1 IP)
Led by head coach Greg Beals, Marshall is 12-12 this season after dropping two of three to James Madison over the weekend.
Eddie Leon leads the team with a .318 batting average while Ethan Murdoch has a team-high seven home runs. Charlie Krebs has been Marshall’s top reliever with a 0.98 ERA in 18.1 innings.
