WVU Release WVU Adds Game vs. Kent State

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (Feb. 12, 2020) – The West Virginia University baseball team has added a home game against Kent State on Wednesday, March 4, at 4 p.m. ET, at Monongalia County Ballpark.


Admission to the contest will be free for all fans.


The Mountaineers and Golden Flashes will meet for the 35th time in their series history. It also marks the second consecutive season the two schools will play in Morgantown. Last year, WVU swept Kent State in a three-game series from March 9-10, 2019, with West Virginia earning wins of 6-2, 8-4 and 9-7 over the Flashes.


Overall, Kent leads the all-time series, 20-14.


With the addition, WVU is now set to play 25 games at Monongalia County Ballpark this season.


WVU officially opens the 2020 campaign with a three-game series at Jacksonville, from Feb. 14-16, at the Dolphins' John Sessions Stadium. The squad’s home opener is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 18, against Canisius.
