Seems like a lock over the hapless Jayhawks.

Tony, what do the experts see here? Would have to believe the cousins could name the score against a Kansas squad that's been dominated by the MAC. I think the Herd would cover 21 1/2.

What gives?

Perhaps another repeat of that fateful day back in 2013?

I have to rethink my position on this tilt between two Midwestern Rivals.

I'll be stone shocked if the Kansas boys tear down the goalposts Saturday! I have to think WVU names the score although Kansas is not totally inept on the offensive side of the ball. WVU 52 KU 20.

I'm still struggling with this game, Tonycried. Holding up my weekly six-pack picks, as I'm torn on who to select. I have to think the experts from Vegas know something the rest of us don't. Is it possible the Jayhawks are tired of getting their helmets rocked by MAC competition, and this is the game they've circled on the calendar since the goal posts sunk deep into the creek back in 2013?

Help me out here, Tonycried.

I can't believe that things are so dismal for you herdiots that you live vicariously through the eyes of Kansas fans. It must suck for you knowing that the hapless Jayhawks have a win over WVU and Marshall is 0-forever.

Thanks for your reply, Buzzard, but I'm looking for help in regard to why WVU is only laying 21 1/2 points to the hapless Jayhawks. Based on early season results, I would have to project this Kansas team as finishing dead last in the MAC. What do the experts from Vegas know? Just being an outsider looking to make some easy money, I would have to think WVU could beat the Hornet-like Jayhawks by at least 50, maybe 60. 22 1/2 points? Help me out here.

Lay the number my old friend! If the Jayhawks actually played a contender for the MAC crown , they'd be a 22 point dog to them. I think if WVU was in the MAC, the Mounties would contend for the conference crown with the likes of NIU, WMU and Miami.

Please, not another absurd assertion that " Kansas would crush MU". Michigan and myself could care less about the woeful Jayhawks , only analyzing the big matchup with WVU as a money making opportunity, if anything criticize us for being unabashed Capitalist.

If I were to criticize the both of you for anything it would be that you are unabashed BS artists !

I'm going on the advice of sound legal advice from TonyC. WVU covers, and the goal posts are saved until 2019.

Yes, rumor has it that the KU administration did not bother to grease the goal posts to save them from over zealous students celebrating their first BIg 12 win in years!

There you go again, living vicariously through the eyes of the Jayhawks. They accomplished something that day that Herdiots have never experienced - that being a win over WVU. I can understand why their fans and you Herdiots will never forget that day ! Big time for both of you.

The Mighty Jayhawks would not have beaten Pat or Geno...they were a bit lucky that position has been in decline since those boys picked up their degrees!

Oh, here we go again. If only we didn't have Pat White, If only we didn't have Geno, if Bulger wasn't our QB........ then Marshall surely would have won a few coal bowls. Don't you Herdiots ever get tired of all the "only if" and "yeah but" excuses in explaining why you are 0-forever against the EERS ?

Much like Mighty Kansas, like our chances much better against Howard and Trickett as opposed to Pat and Geno! I'm only stating the undisputed fact that the latter were great college football players, while the former were at best pedestrian.

As I've often said over the years, got to give the cousin's athletic department credit for knowing when to schedule the Herd.

I knew if we waited long enough you would go full retard again. I have to wonder how many wins it will take before you proclaim MVU the Flagship of the state. At least you're consistent.

I nominate this for the STUPIDEST POST OF THE YEAR award. Falls right in with the line of "what if", "if only", "yeah, but" line of thinking that Herdiots always fall back on when trying to explain their 0-forever record against the Mountaineers. Now, according to MichiganTerds line of thinking we had a crystal ball that predicted years in advance when would be the best time to play Marshall....................unbelievable !

You and Tony have done nothing lately but lose credibility on this board. Are you two related ?

When one team within a given state is afraid to lace them up against the other team within a given state, then, by default, the team willing to lace them up is for certain, the Flagship.

Ah, the old bring your dog if you're "skeered" line again. I would be truly sad for you if I thought you actually believed that WVU doesn't play Marshall because we are "skeert", or that Marshall is the "Flagship". Hell, 99.5 % of college football fans nationwide would have to google Marshall to even know where the school is located.

No question the Cousins understand that the QB position has taken nose dive in talent. This after we were assured that HOGO would attract top talent.

I think you'll agree that the Cousins are quite the disingenuous group when it comes to making excuses. I have to give them their just due though, as many of them would have made quite the small fortune back in the day, as snake oil salesmen.

No question they have more excuses than Carter has liver pills!

When one school demands unreasonable accommodations from a superior school, then whines about in the press and on message boards they must be MVU.

At this point, I think the Herd would accept the same deal they gave James Madison. Maybe we could play them at the new Mercedez Benz stadium in Atlanta.

You're not going to get a deal with us in either sport. Your run off at the mouth administrators made sure of that. In hindsight I think that's what they actually wanted......a way out of taking an annual ass kicking. As far as the Herd playing in Atlanta - you can't even put a team on the field that draws hometown people to your own stadium, much less one several hundred miles away.

That stadium is something down in Atlanta. But you hit the nail on the head. They can claim their moral victory by not playing us in basketball or football. Just look at all the moral victories claimed by the MVU fans in this thread. As for ECU, they have a long history of working with us including reworking a long term deal to it's current state. MVU has the chicken suit, get a dog and the doctrine has their history of acting like a spoiled child. We could play MVU in another 7 game series but all it would accomplish is taking the Pitt and Penn State's (home and home series) of the world off our schedule and up our record to 19-0 verses MVU. Of course after year 8 it would be that we know that they would be better than us and we are dodging them to avoid our first loss to the Turds. Kind of comical when you think about it.

Nah, you can keep those regional juggernauts on your schedule. It's those huge tilts with the likes of Norfolk State, Youngstown, and Delaware State that make most believe you need a bigger set.

Of course, we've seen that disingenuous excuse many times over the years. No room on the schedule, but place out the welcome mat for the upstart Hornets.

Reading comprehension has never been your strong point. Home and home is different than a buy in game. No power 5 school is going to replace a buy in game with a non power 5 team on a home and home basis. WVU's future schedules have us playing two power 5 teams each year and a buy in game. MVU will not replace a power 5 team but they could replace the buy in. Would be happy to see it us play MVU every so often in Morgantown verse the lower division teams. Have your guys pick up the phone and give WVU a call.

Will they play at the Joan twice and if not will you be on their message board calling them scared? Had any good beers lately?

After reading what Tonywhined and MichiganTerd have posted today I think it may be time for them to step away from the tap............maybe too many good beers have crossed their lips today...............

No such thing as too much money or too much beer!

Tonycried, did you see all the empty seats in the cousin's house last Saturday? Announced crowd was somewhat nice, but very disingenuous once again, as the aluminum seats seemed to prevail over those wearing the famous 'spot the ball' t-shirts.

I was there. The announced attendance didn't seem too far off to me, at least by the end of the first quarter. The crowd was late arriving and the students left at halftime when the score was 45-10. Lots of others left when the first team was taken out of the game with the score at 52-10. I stayed til the end, as I always do.

With that being said, it's only a matter of time before you'll be eating crow when pictures of a half filled Joan start showing up. Can't blame the Cabell County faithful for not showing up to cheer on the Herd against one of the weakest schedules in all of FBS.........especially when the WVU game is on TV.

Man, " spot the ball", seems like a million years ago! Poor RichRod under appreciated in Morgantown! Probably in Tucson as well.

If they want a true sellout, 1-800-THE-HERD....but don't look for MIke's phone to ring!
