Worst loss of the year BY FAR

Once Kentucky calmed down and allowed their talent to dictate the game it was over. That and getting Sags off the court. Carter and Sags carry this team and we can’t have either on the bench for long.

Esa hasn’t brought much to the winning formula either. They seem to be going through the motions with him in the line up.
Just because the 3+ million dollar man uses this as an excuse doesn't mean that you should do the same. Kentucky had wiped out the 17-point deficit and taken the lead when Konate picked up his fourth foul, and headed to the bench.

When JV is in game shape he is at worst a top 3 player on UK. He is the 2nd best passer , ball handler , rebounder, defender we have. And he will be a lotto pick either this or next year. It sounds like you don't know how to evaluate talent actually. He is the kinda guy who will get you 16 pts 14 rebs 3 steals 5 dimes and 2 blocks. Does every great except shoot jumpers beyond 15 feet .
It was posted that Vanderbilt was the best player on the team. I agree he is a top three player but he is not the best player on the team.

None of us are coaching the team and rightfully so, but if I were, I think I would save the press until we needed it - second half maybe. Using all this energy up early might be the reason the second half is such a disaster. just a senior citizens talk on the situation.

Vanderbilt is definitely not the best player on the UK team. If he could shoot he would be a much better player. Evidently you have no idea how to evaluate players.
He's averaging 12 minutes a game. He's easily the player with the best vision and arguably the best ball handler on our team. He's by far our best rebounder. Last night he played 11 minutes and had 11 rebounds. 7 offensive. He's averaging 12 points and 7 rebounds a game all while not being in any shape at all due to only practicing like 12 days now? He was BY FAR our most impressive recruit coming into the season, he's 5 months of playing behind all these guys. There is zero doubt in my mind in 3 maybe 4 weeks he's our best player. He was our only projected top 10 pick before the season. He led our team in rebounding last night while playing 11 minutes.

He's a 6'9 point forward with insane ball handling and passing ability for his size. The only area he's struggled with so far is his mid range/post game which can be attributed to rust from being so far behind the rest of the team as far as playing shape and practicing goes. In his very first practice he was the best player on the floor a couple weeks ago. His first practice after not practicing for 5 months due to injury at that. To act like a player who is clearly our best rebounder, best ball handler, best passer, and most physical player player nnthe team isn't our best player is just plain ridiculous especially since you're judging him off of 12 minutes a game right now which is insane to do with any out of shape freshman coming off an injury many months behind everyone 4 games into his career.

His only struggles so far has been tip ins rimming out and not yet being comfortable with his post game/mid range game at this point. Anyone who's followed this recruit will tell you driving to the rim and finishing and mid range/post game are very big time strengths of his. So even though he's struggled with that so far in a very limited sample size, it won't stay that way for long. So your way of evaluating players is judging them when they're many months behind the rest of the team, 4 games into there career averaging 12 min a game while coming off an injury after not practicing for 5 months and claiming that's just who the player is? Clearly you have no idea how to evaluate players acting like a player who's months behind and out of shape is gonna stay this way a month from now. Absolutely laughable.

He was very clearly our most talented freshman entering the season who happened to suffer an unfortunate injury before the season. In due time he will be our best post player who has the ability to hit the open three, that's not hard to see, to go along with already clearly our best rebounder, passer and ball handler? To say a player with those abilities is clearly not a teams best player based on being 12 practices in after being 5 months removed from the game of basketball is absolutely insane and proves you really know nothing about what you're talking about.

You're gonna laugh at those words 3-4 weeks from now for acting like he's far and away from being our best player when there's zero doubt he's our most talented freshman that we're just waiting on to get comfortable, in shape and into a rhythm, goodluck with that evaluation will be sure to check your thoughts a month from now and again 2 months from now. Your way of evaluating players is clearly laughable. And proves what your knowledge of the game is. Guarantee you won't be seeing any scouting jobs any time soon due to your base for evaluating players.

You are saying he is our best player. So you think he played better against West Virginia than Knox. He is a better passer than SGA? He is a good player but you can't base how he is playing on projections but how is he playing now. I hope he turns out to be our best player by the end of the year but he is not close to our best player now.

Maciej Bender, Esa Ahmad, Lamont West, Wesley Harris and Logan Routt combined for zero rebounds in the second half, in a combined 30 minutes of court time.

How many times do I need to post this. You can't have this from 5 guys that give minutes of playing time. You would think they would get a rebound just by the ball bouncing off the rim into their hands.

It would be awesome to have a staff that could develop those guys or better yet identify that those guys might not be Big12 caliber players.
