What commitment will WVU make for football excellence?

With the defectors leaving the conference, there is a perception gap between the other Power leagues due to lack of big name brands. Oklahoma has been an actual power on the field. Texas is a brand only, but a big one, deserving or not.

Recent articles have discussed how conference members such as Oklahoma State are working to elevate their programs to elite status- same for new comer Cincinnati which currently has a top ten class coming in and has facilities in the works as well. Baylor is power in football and basketball and has shown it can sustain that. The conference will need annual serious playoff contenders to emerge for perception, recruiting and financial purposes to offset the losses.

Does WVU intend to try to become the next Clemson, or is the administration content to continue fielding a sub .500 program?

Being ranked #17 in recruiting is not good enough for the Bucky.

If you want wvu to become the next Clemson then you need to start lining the players up with lucrative Nil deals. The administration isn't going to do that but that's not stopping you.

If you're not capable of making better, well thought out posts than something like this, then I'm going to have to consider retiring from this forum.

Says the loser Marshall fan pretending to be a Michigan fan on a wvu message board. Your retired life must be pretty pathetic to be hanging out on here.

Btw how many times are you going to tell the world you are retiring?

And the lame ass comments here illustrate how bad things have gotten for WVU athletics.
So what exactly do you want the administration to do? The administration can step up improve facilities hire and fire coaches etc etc ect. The administration has no control over whether another member wants to leave. Oklahoma State may talk about wanting to be elite but there not and either is Baylor. In the new era of college football success will be more determined by how much money your boosters are willing to shell out in NIL deals.

The only way for WVU to achieve football excellence is to pony up the cash for a top notch coach. If they can commit to that, we will be fine,

Greg was probably his alter account. No one else on here was obsessed about telling the world they were retiring.

What coach is gonna wanna come here if we don't have the money to pay out lucrative NIL deals? All previous Wvu coach's would have had a hard time navigating this current landscape.

So you have nothing better to do than play games on a message board of a team you aren't even a fan of?

Seems lame don't you think? Maybe you should have another donut...

Herd is a pathetic soul. He has retired 20 times only to come out of retirement to threaten it again. He also shouldn't use the word troll considering he is one.

Let's get this thread to page 2 this morning. My mere presence here is enough to boost this simple thread all the way to 3-4 pages. WVUBUTTBUDDY even gave you a reach around.
