ESPN and Fox have a stranglehold on the NCAA. But Apple and Amazon could be the very, very deep pocketed players that may want to beef up their streaming services. I love competition. Yormark is a highly seasoned media professional. Can he out maneuver ESPN and Fox? Can he convince Apple and/or Amazon to enter the fray? And can he maneuver to offer the Pac 12 schools more upside than the ACC?
If the ACC does expand (ESPN calling the shots), I am confident that WVU will get an invitation. I am just not sure how the loose alliance of the ACC and the Pac 12 get the Pac 12 the security and money they need to compete.
It's a game of musical chairs and I am confident we will land in a good place.
