WVSPORTS.COM West Virginia QB Marchiol will be ready if Greene can't suit up

a shiny new coach like Holgorsen..master of death and destruction of football programs..Houston is learning an expensive lesson...here's something rational...Donaldson and Lathan will transfer to a new school together, Gallagher to ND or Penn St, Nicco back to FSU where he verballed, J White to Pitt, T Ray to Miami

That is incoherent babble and does not answer my question at all. That said, if you are trying to argue that Brown in his first 4.25 years is inarguably better than Holgorsen, you are out of your mind. I am no Holgorsen apologist and wanted that clown to start delivering real progress after that 3rd year destroyed all good will the Orange Bowl had earned him from me. By middle of year 5 I wanted him gone and dreaded he would do exactly what he did which was do just enough to not get fired, but never actually put WVU in position to maybe compete for something big.

Now the question isn't Holgorsen vs Brown. It is, what about Brown in these last 4.25 years makes you think his ceiling is more than maybe winning 7-9 games a year, but never really being a playoff contender like Holgorsen was for WVU? Because Brown would have to IMPROVE to just get to Holgorsen's level at WVU which we both seem to agree was not good enough.

"The death and destruction of football programs" is a pretty dramatic and emotional thing to say about a coach who had two 8 win seasons and a 10 win season in 3 of his last 4 years. Yet you love Neal Brown for being the worst in 40 years. We know wins and losses don't matter to you. It's obvious.

I wasn't actually that critical of him when he coached..I despised him for saying that you can't recruit the quality of players at WVU needed to compete for the B12 championship...He revealed himself to be a lazy narcissistic ungrateful prick. Eighteen years as an assistant coach and WVU gives him reins to the program... makes him a millionaire...in return he puts the program on blast when he left

I agree with you on thst. I thought it was a crappy thing to say too. I wasn't sad he was gone especially after that. He was a good coach but held himself back with laziness and bad habits.

I'm not the one who goes out of my way to insert my commentary here. You came at me, and people like me, first who think the quality of the football being played on the field by the guys in WVU uniforms is below what it could and should be. So maybe WVU wins and losses do not affect your life, but apparently internet commentors do since you are so vehement to take swipes and pot shots. But we can just end here as you dodge the real questions as you have done here and ignore inconvenient data like when I destroyed your snide "WVU is 6th in rushing first downs" post with the stats that really matter.
