Huggins named a former Cincinnati player when he was coach as his new assistant coach.
DerMarr Johnson was on Bob’s 29-4 team in 1999-2000 which catapulted DerMarr to the NBA after one college season.
DerMarr was director of player development (since 2021) at Cincy.
Huggins takes care of those he likes.
After one season at Kansas State, which was successful, Bob switched to WVU (his 5-year contract allowed him to leave ONLY for WVU).
And made sure Frank Martin, his assistant, got the Kansas State head coaching job. Martin got Kansas State into the Elite Eight in 2010.
Martin switched to South Carolina as head coach in 2012. Martin and Huggins are seen together regularly, including on CBS TV basketball shows.
For those who want to blame everything wrong this season on Huggins he took Cincinnati to the Final Four, won 10 conference regular season titles, 8 conference tournament titles, and 2 Elite Eights.
And he’s won more college basketball games than every coach in history except two.

Past accomplishments don’t entitle Bob Huggins to lifelong employment at WVU.
The last five years is is history too, and it hasn’t been all that good. He isn’t winning in the BIG 12 and doesn’t have significant victories recently for WVU basketball. Entire teams worth of players have left - some stating in their own words they weren’t happy with coaching. One coach was sent on to cover and now a new coach has been brought in.
At some point the person at the helm has to be held accountable. He is here to win, not to wallow in past accomplishments.

Mountaineer hater, lol- from the troll who works night and day to get rid of good coaches and champions losing ones, downrates WVUs accomplishments and conference daily and attacks any suggestion of things being made better.
Eventually Huggins will be hanging around with himself if he keeps losing at the pace he is. Can only throw others under the bus so often And even the dumbest of fans will eventually stop paying.

Rather than you listing whatever it is you are listing lets take a look at ACTUAL results for the past five including this one (and yes its not over yet, but getting to 20 isn't looking very good)
current: 10-7 conference 0-5
21-22 season: 16-17
20-21 season: 19-10
19-20 season: 21-10
18-19 season: 15-21
And here is a very telling chart for how bad WVUs two main sports have been the last five seasons. WVU under Huggins has gone 28-48 in conference:
Eventually Huggins will step down on his own. Take your crap and multi profiles to the Herd board.
Those numbers aren't helping your argument any. I love Huggins. However......what you posted shows a downward trend that is undeniable.
Must have had some pretty damn good teams some of those years playing 35, 45, 37, 37, and 36 games. Some of those are elite 8ish, and one is even beyond final 4ish. The sportswriter better check HIS facts before pounding the keyboard.
