--West Virginia head coach Neal Brown thanked the fans for being out there and showing support. He felt that Albany showed well on a big stage. The rush defense was really good and the end of possession downs were good. Both Ben Cutter and Anthony Wilson were active. West Virginia has to play the ball down the field better. On offense they had three bad plays in the game but they showed what they are capable of being on offense. Three bad plays, but they were five for five in the red zone and they had two 100 yard rushers and threw and caught the ball better. On special teams they were able to play a lot of people. Brown wanted to get more guys in but it was a fast game. They're going to enjoy it and get ready for the Brawl.

--At week ago the numbers were a little deceiving rushing because of all the negative plays, but today they were clean. Albany tried to slant and junk up the middle, and the only blitz they missed as at the running back position.

--Brown said he doesn't care who scores but it's good for team morale for seven different players to score. It rewards guys for working. Brown wanted to get Marchiol a few more possessions but he was really efficient.

--The whole thing against Penn State was rough but they have good players at wide out. They won against man coverage but they didn't throw it as well against Penn State. They have to continue to get better and Jaden Bray made a really good contested catch.

--Brown said they have to do a better job of playing the ball in the air. There were two different times they didn't make the play because they didn't have their eyes back. Seven McGee is a good player and he made a bunch of plays.

--Brown was disappointed they gave up three third and 15s. They played a lot more man coverage than they typically do because they wanted to see where they're at there.

--Greene didn't play as well as he is capable of last week and he owned that.

--Brown felt that he didn't play really fast, but they did a much better job getting aligned and handling their formations in the secondary.

--That was the first time they went 99-yards since TCU against COVID to score. You have a plan and once you get off you're not going to get a holding call in the end zone you just play it normal.

--TJ Jackson is really active and he's been a positive pickup. He was one of the high points against Penn State. He is the best move guy West Virginia has had since Darius Stills. Asani Redwood is coming on and he has done some nice things.

--Eddie Vesterinen will probably be out a few weeks but he'll determine that on Monday.

--Advantage of kicking it in the corner but he was trying to overplay the wind. They're trying to pin them down there because it takes away half the field.

--Jordan Lesley got hit extremely hard and didn't call the defense for a series or two but he came back.
