--West Virginia head coach Neal Brown said it will be their last game-like run today other than the spring game. They went ones, twos and threes they got reps. Sean Mahone and Jackie Matthews out sick or with minor injuries.

--Special teams they’ve been getting a lot of really good work there. They will have a finale at the spring game, and they’ve had a draft for special teams. They’ve really competed and everybody from the leaders to the guys that are trying to get on the field. There is a high level of buy in on special teams.

--The ones had a goal line stand and made the one offense kick a field goal. Defensively, he likes where they are at and they need to create some depth. They have to do that with the guys they have or go get some. They didn’t have any turnovers on offense, Doege was sharp and Leddie Brown did some nice things in the passing game. Sam James and Winston Wright did some nice things.

--Garrett Greene was live today and had some big runs and came up with some broken plays. He had one nice pass on a scramble. Reese Smith had a nice day with the twos. They kicked the ball well today.

--Casey Legg, Danny King and Tyler Sumpter did a nice job today.

--Have a number of live reps and wanted to have it officiated in the scrimmage. If one side of the ball needs more work, they’ll adjust it.

--Brown doesn’t like to do it all the time and give completely live reps to dual threat guys but did it today for Greene and it was important for his confidence. It’s also important for him to give the linebackers looks. He was the leading rusher for the twos and had three touchdown passes.

--Pleased what ShaDon Brown and AJ Jackson have brought chemistry wise to the team. Both have been key assets and will help with the team and recruiting.

--Junior college guys always make the biggest improvement from their first full spring. Jackie Matthews got here last January and has had a very positive second spring. They always see a big difference after they’ve been on campus and learned the system. Jordan White is a kid that was part of the developmental program and has a chance to win a starting job. Sam Brown has put together two really strong practices in a row.

--Taijh Alston is undergoing a big spring. He got to play at the end of the fall, but this is the first time he’s been able to consistently play. They need him to be a force, but he’s had a solid spring. Nick Malone has run with the two’s and has gotten his weight up. He can play every position outside of center and his communication has been a benefit. Graeson Malasaveich has gotten a lot stronger and is a hard worker.

--Zach Frazier is getting most of his work at center. He’s strong and really understands the game.

--Josh Chandler-Semedo has his confidence at an all-time high. He has carried over what he did in the bowl game and has really impressed.

--Doege had one bad period. He is one of the most improved players and it’s really just about buying some time. They ran a naked and be bought about a second of time and got the ball off for a first down. On Thursday night he moved to the right and found a guy for a big third down completion. Those little minute things will make a difference for him and a really efficient day today.
