--West Virginia head coach Bob Huggins said he wanted to go back and look at the 18-2 run. They didn’t play well coming out of halftime, but he wants to look at how they can do a better job of playing through some things. He is trying to explain that he is proud of his team today and he’s the worst loser in the world, but he thought his team competed and could have given up several times but didn’t. They missed some easy shots but didn’t quit. Huggins think they’re going in the right direction but they need to win some games over the last six.

--Huggins thought it was hard during the game but he plans to go back and look at what unfolded.

--Huggins didn’t ask about Taz Sherman falling down but one official said he stepped on his foot. The foul call on the three when the Mountaineers had cut it to one, he wants to take a look at it and he can answer those questions a lot better once he gets a look at it.

--Isaiah Cottrell is getting better and he is working at it. Those are the first jump hooks that he’s made or the first power moves that he’s made that were successful. They knew he could shoot the ball from three but when you haven’t played a lot of games at this level sometimes you hurry things. He did that on the one shot in the second half, but he’s going to be a really good player you just can’t expect him to be a world-beater as a freshman.

--Gabe Osabuohien wasn’t suspended but if that was a first it’s ok, but that wasn’t the first time that it’s happened. Huggins didn’t think that it cost them the game. Cottrell gave them things that Osabuohien can’t give them but of course Osabuohien gives them things that others can’t as well. It’s about doing the right thing and you can’t do things that hurt your teammates. There are consequences for doing the wrong things and we’ve all experienced it.

--Osabuohien is not in Huggins’ bad graces, but they are going to do things right. He has all the respect for the basketball program and the manner of which former players have played the game. They are not going to vary from that.

--A lot of whistles in this game and it’s hard to play like that. He wants to look at what they were doing wrong. He has to take a look at it.

--Huggins thought they handled the smaller lineup well. They did a better job on the two little guys than anybody has done of late. Can they be better? Yeah.
