--West Virginia head coach Bob Huggins said Kansas is really good but they’re playing smaller, which is different than having the two bigs that they typically have. They spread you out and try to dribble penetrate. They usually have to impressive bigs, but they not as big as normal.

--Derek Culver’s maturation starts with him. He wants to be a good player and wants to do things right and doesn’t want to let his teammates down. Culver and Huggins has developed a close relationship due to the time they’ve known each other after recruiting him as a sophomore in high school.

They thought that those guys in year two would be way more consistent than they were in year one but it’s a lot of things that have led to them giving up too many points in the paint. You have to help and if you put anybody out there one-on-one it’s hard to keep them from driving to the basket. West Virginia hasn’t done as good of a job as they need to in that department.
--West Virginia just wanted to play they had to go through cancelations and people dropping out so they just wanted to play. They don’t really have a saving grace, so they just have to play when they need them to play. Every trip is a long trip for them.
--Huggins believes his team should be with their families around Christmas. He will give them an opportunity to do that. They will get back the 26th and will get tested three days in a row. Those guys have been good but that’s not to say that they couldn’t get it. It is what it is and you deal with it.
